MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON &

PRESIDENT

During 2016 and 2017, we had the privilege to continue fighting against poverty and inequality through our programs and services, and also assist in Puerto Rico’s recovery after Hurricanes Irma and Maria. This bi annual report is our opportunity to express our gratitude for your generosity. It is a chance for you to read about how, with your support, our programs and services have impacted the lives of many families in underserved communities in the Island. During the emergency caused by Irma and Maria we provided food and recovery services extending in many ways to 76 of the 78 municipalities. We have reached out to all entrepreneurs graduated from our programs to provide assistance for the rehabilitation of their businesses. We were there to support those suffering when they needed it most. As our country recovers, we move ahead in our quest to be part of Puerto Rico’s reconstruction and economic development. Our mission continues providing the people in underserved communities with the tools for empowerment and self-sufficiency which build a more just society with opportunities for all. We truly appreciate the trust you have in us as we collaborate together. Your support and contributions help build a better Puerto Rico. On behalf of all participants and recipients of our services, we express our gratitude. Sincerely, Sila M. Calderón                                             Dennis R. Román, Esq. Chairperson                                                    President
