ROBERT HARRIS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (1984) Bob founded Centron in 1984 after serving for 13 years as Vice President and General Manager with Charter Construction Limited. Through diversified experience and vision Bob has built Centron into a leading Western Canadian Developer and Builder of fine Commercial and Residential projects.
COLE HARRIS PRESIDENT & COO CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (1993) As a leader in the company, Coleâ€™s focus is on implementing strategy and direction for Centron, from day to day operations to its long-term future vision. Cole has been a part of the company since its beginning, working his way up from laborer and carpenter, to estimator and project manager, up to vice president and now president and COO. Cole attended both University of Lethbridge and Mount Royal University. Cole contributes a strong business background plus a comprehensive knowledge of the building and development industry. An ambitious, colorful and creative business leader, Cole also enjoys using his talents to give back to the community, providing both time and support to a variety of local charities. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Mount Royal University, has sat on the board for DDRC and the Safe Haven Foundation. He is currently a member of the Young Presidents OrganizationÂ Executive as the Southern Networking Chair.
WAYNE BENZ PRESIDENT CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (1987) With more than 35 year’s experience in the Calgary construction industry holding positions ranging from carpenter to project manager to president, Wayne is a steady and conscientious professional who leads by example – providing experience and insight into all aspects of construction projects and operations.
DON AVANT (C.A) VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE & CFO CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (2003) A chartered accountant since 1980, Don has extensive financial experience working for a variety of companies involved in the areas of construction, real estate and property management. Don is patient, focused and responsive.
RICHARD HEINE (P.ENG) EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (1994) A dedicated and hardworking member of Centron, Richard has more than 35 years of construction experience working as an engineer, site coordinator and project manager for Centron as well as one of the largest construction companies in Canada.
MICHAEL ANDERSON SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT DEVELOPMENT & LEASING CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (2002) With over 27 years of commercial real estate experience, including 12 years of commercial brokerage, large institutional and regional landlord positions, Michael brings a broad depth of experience to the company.
DAVE DALEN (P.ENG) VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (2015) David has over 30 yrs. of real estate development and construction experience with regional and national developers. David is a professional engineer and brings to Centron a diverse wealth of experience to ensure successful development projects.
ALLISON CLARK VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT & DIRECTOR, CENTRON CARES CENTRON GROUP OF COMPANIES (2005) With over 20 years experience in residential and commercial real estate, Allison has had the opportunity to be involved in a full spectrum of developments from acquisitions through to disposition and beyond. With her education in Marketing Management through the University of Calgary, Allisonâ€™s foundation in real estate was built with one of the largest Alberta Homebuilders in Calgary before moving into multi-family/commercial development with Centron.
KELLY ZAHARIA (PMP P.GSC, CM-LEAN) VICE PRESIDENT CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (2004) Kelly started at the grass roots level working his way through the carpentry apprenticeship program through SAIT and obtained his Red Seal Journeyman Certification with Centron.Â He furthered his education through the University of Calgary Construction Management Program and is a Level II Safety Codes Officer. He has a proven track record with 35 years of industry experience, is a professional gold seal project manager through CCA and also has a project management professional designation through PMI, as well as a Construction Management Lean designation. Kelly has managed a variety of highly successful multi-million dollar projects throughout Alberta.
BRIAN BEC (P.GSC, CM-LEAN) VICE PRESIDENT CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (2003) Brian has over 35 years of construction experience with single family custom homes, multi-family and commercial projects. Starting from the ground up as a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter to becoming a Professional Gold Seal Certified Project Manager, Brian enjoys working in team environments, attaining project goals and delivering client satisfaction all while having fun in the process.
RIO McNEIL PROJECT MANAGER CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (2004) Rio has over 40 years of experience with single family custom homes, multifamily residential and various types of commercial projects. His vast knowledge of the construction industry starts with his roots as a carpenter to becoming a project manager with Centron. Working within a team environment, Rio has an extremely great sense of humor, wit and his fun demeanor charms all the various people he comes in contact with.
TAK KYLE (BSc, MBA, GSC) PROJECT MANAGER CENTRON CONSTRUCTION (2017) Having been immersed in Project Management since 2007 with several major general contractors in Calgary, Tak brings a wide range of experience to the Centron Team. Committee, which produced the On-Site Construction Safety Best Practices Guide in partnership with the City of Calgary
• The Best Practices Guide was developed to raise awareness of the hazards and conditions at and adjacent to construction sites • The Committee continues to review and recommend Safe Work Practices, and several of these initiatives have resulted in Directives being issued by the City such as establishment of the Site Safety Site • The Advanced Wind Forecasting System was initiated through this Committee, whereby the sites are notified of expected high wind gusts.
