This Report examines all fundamental rights cases decided by the Supreme Court, between December 15, 2014 and December 30, 2015, which form new law, settle uncertain areas of law, or extend the application of the law to new arenas. The discussions have been organized thematically around the core fundamental rights: life, liberty, equality and religion. Put together, this Report should be able to sketch a picture of the Supreme Court’s overall approach to the protection of fundamental rights in the constitution in the past year.
