FROM THE BULLETIN EDITOR

FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome, incoming Key Clubbers! I’m Nikki McGrath, your Key Club Bulletin Editor. I’m in charge of getting everybody aware of what’s going on in Key Club via media. I hope you guys get a good impression of Key Club. It’s really fun and it feels so great to help the community. And, you may not believe it, but it really does help you develop leadership skills. I didn’t believe it would, but, now that I look back to who I was, I realize that I’m way more responsible with my schoolwork and even with some chores I have at home. It hasn’t helped me with confidence and character quite yet, but I bet it’s still to come. I still have a lot to learn, and so do you. Please give Key Club a chance. It will really be worth it. There are many great people in it and it’s almost like a 2nd family. It’s a great experience. It truly is. Sincerely, Nikki McGrath

Hello Bulldogs! I am Janmark Camins and I will be your Key Club President for the 2012-2013 school year here at Centennial. Whether you are a Senior or a Freshman, everybody is welcomed. I know that we will have a LEGENDARY school year together with the service and memories. Being a part of Key Club is like having a second home. Here at Key Club, we don’t make keys, we make a difference in our community. Not only will you make friends, but you’ll get closer to your current friends as well. Every year we go out of town to Fall Rally in Six Flags and District Convention (DCON) in California. Many of our members have a lot of fun doing these events along with the service. I look forward to meeting you guys and sharing these memories together. The one and only, Janmark Camins Centennial Key Club President

RECENT EVENTS

JULY DCM

July 21, 2012

We went to the library meeting room. None of our advisors were there so we had a sub. We announced things like, ideas on how to welcome Freshies, Member of the Month, Club of the Month, etc. We were told of service projects/fundraising ideas. And that’s about it. A bunch of club reports. A pretty boring meeting. -Josh Jones Centennial Key Club

During the July DCM, our LTG, Johansen Pico, talked about club visitations, CNH DCON 2013, Project Jump Start, and many more. Many clubs from all of the 28’s showed up whether it was 1 or 12 people. Although we didn’t have a June DCM, they gave enough information from the months of June and July. But none of this was possible without Legacy’s advisor and my dad for chaperoning us and being able to take some time out of their busy schedules to help us out. -Janmark Camins Centennial Key Club

AUGUST DCM August 13, 2012

For the August DCM, we talked mostly about upcoming fees. With our membership, RTC, and Fall Rally, the total is $170. We get a $5 discount, wooooo! We also talked about being sure we welcome all freshmen into our campus and be friendly. Show them why Key Club is unique, and not some other service group. We’re the largest service organization in the world, remember? Let’s be proud of that. Convince freshmen how fun this year can be. Other than that, we mostly did routine things such as Member of the Month, roll call, reports, and sharing ideas or experiences.
