LADIES SOFTBALL facilities

LADIES SOFTBALL facilites The Centenary Softball Complex has evolved into one of the finest collegiate playing venues in the region after several recent renovations. The Ladies are proud to call the Centenary Softball Complex home and the softball program wishes to thank everyone who made the improvements possible. The complex offers brand new dugouts, a new press box, a new backstop with netting, a new sound system, and a reconfigured visitor’s bullpen. The facility also includes a lighted and covered three-tunnel batting cage, a dual home bullpen, and wireless internet. Restrooms and a concession stand for the fans are located just steps from the bleachers.

CENTENARY SOFTBALL COMPLEX

Centenary hosted Continent Confernament, and prior new brick backstop chain-link fence the new backstop go from dugout to classic brick look faces the fans and green to blend in Netting was hung but it also provides the netting is thinner

the 2007 Midence Softball Tourto the big event, a was built. The old was removed and was designed to dugout. It sports a on the outside that the inside is painted better with the field. to protect the fans, better viewing as than the old fence.

Also installed in time for the tournament was a new sound system. A set of four top-quality speakers were hung, two at each end, to the new backstop. The directional speakers provide a great sound to the players and fans alike, and can be controlled to maximize the overall experience of any visitor.

HOME OF THE LADIES

Phase two of the softball field project began in the fall of 2007 when the dugouts were torn down to make way for two new ones. The newly designed dugouts are longer and deeper to accommodate more space for the teams. The home dugout also has a storage unit affixed to the south side of it. Both dugouts are lighted, have beautiful new benches, helmet and bat racks, and were painted Centenary maroon on the inside. The dugouts were not only widened and lengthened, but set to a new angle to allow fans in the bleachers an optimal view from their seats. In addition, the press box was affixed to the visitor’s dugout and was also widened and lengthened. The press box is equipped with shatter-proof sliding glass doors and a heating and cooling system.
