CABA CLASSIC 2019 | P3

Welcome to the CABA Classic Alpaca Auction Dear Friends, The Pacific Northwest has a long and important role in the history of the North American Alpaca industry. As lifelong Oregonians ourselves, we are especially proud to have been selected by the Columbia Alpaca Breeders Association to manage their first alpaca auction at the 2019 CABA Classic Show. As you look through this sale catalog, you will see some very familiar names, and some that are just making their debut on the national auction stage. Whether a long established, or new farm, whether large or small, they all have in common a passion for alpacas and our alpaca industry. The alpacas they have consigned are great examples of their breeding programs and there is truly something for everyone in the auction lineup. We invite you to join us for this auction! It is an absolutely beautiful time of year in the Northwest, and the event venue is just minutes from Portland International Airport. See you at the Auction! Tim & Teresa Vincent Celebrity Sales

Baird has done it again! Mid Day Special is a True Black daughter of the renowned black herdsire, MFI & LMFI Peruvian Baird. Her fleece is dense and bright with high frequency bundles that part like a book. Mid Day's fleece also possesses the fineness (16.2 AFD) that can often be lacking in darker fleeces. With Matador, Jericho, Black Mesquite AND Accoyo Plantel in her pedigree, the potential for Mid Day to produce a high quality colored cria is pretty much a given. Mid Day sells with a breeding to La Finca's Cash Only, a True Black Johnny Cash son, to lock in the black genetics on both sides of the pedigree.

Bloodlines, quality and cuteness all wrapped up in one! Isabella's fleece looks just as beautiful in person as it does in the picture, and then add her fineness, bundling and staple length. Isabella's sire, Snowmass Elite Iceman, not only holds an amazing 14 championships, he at 5 years of age, carries a very fine fleece with a 5 year AFD of 17.7. His skin biopsy at 4 years of age tested 80 follicles per sq mm and showed no medulation and an AFD of 16.97. He is showing us some amazing offspring and we are excited to offer Isabella for your consideration. Isabella sells with a complimentary breeding. When she is ready, we recommend our Judges Choice male, Divine Prince.

SPOTlight is the harlequin daughter of the highly expressive harlequin herdsire, Taupie. For appy-harlequin breeders, this is an exciting proven genetic that has expressed >80% of the time! SPOTlight is the paternal sister to a great line-up of harlequins, leopard appaloosas... and even a brindle calico, Ms. Fancy Pants. SPOTlight has been introduced to the wildly spotted Apache Gentleman. Apache himself has a pedigree packed with harlequins and polkadots. SPOTlight is conformationally correct with a lovely fleece. True to harlequin type, SPOTlight is continuing to darken with age. She doesn't fit neatly into the AOA color chart, but was shown as light rose grey at her first three shows. Looking to add quality appaloosa harlequin genetics to your herd? Don't miss this 2-in-1 package!

Skyline's Lavender Ruffles was exactly what we had hoped for when we bred her Dam, Skyline's Halley, an Avatar daughter, to our outstanding Rose Grey Male, Snowmass Enlightened. There will be no more Enlightened daughters as he passed in 2018. Lavender Ruffles has truly amazing fleece, dense, fine, bright and crimpy. Her 2018 histogram was: 17.6 AFD, 3.3 SD, 18.5 CV, & 0.7 %.30u. We love not only the AFD but especially love the SD, and CV! Lavender Ruffles sells with a breeding to any of our fully owned herdsires. Skyline's Hot Tamale would be a nice pair. This breeding can be transferred to any of your females if you like. *** News flash*** Lavender Ruffles just took a 2nd at the 2019 Nationals, a very competitive show! Beautifully fleeced rich red-brown female. Crimpy, bright, butter-soft fiber with substantial density relative to her fineness. Her dam (a RAINMAN daughter) is one of my favorite fleeces, Georgia Curls, and with a 2 yr histogram at 15.4, 2.8, 18.2, 0.4% (3 yr came in at 16.6, 3.7, 22.4, 0.8%) you can see why!!! Grey grandma, Grey Daddy (Empire's Affliction: Microns 18-22 now at 6 yo) this girl has a lot of grey genetics and would be a great color foundation female for black, brown or grey. She has a lot of consistency on both sides of her pedigree (Victor twice on her Dad's side, once on the Mom's, Bobbie Anne, El Nino) and should be an outstanding foundation female for color. Stunning good looks and the calmest, sweetest disposition on the farm!
