WELCOME TO CELEBRATE THE CHILDREN’S
Each year, friends of Celebrate the Children gather to celebrate the successes we have had since 2004 in advancing the development of children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other special needs, and to thank all of our wonderful supporters who have made those successes possible. Born out of a vision and passion for children with alternative learning styles, Celebrate the Children is the only school of its kind in New Jersey, and one of a handful of schools in the entire country to offer the Developmental, Individual-Difference, RelationshipBased Intervention approach developed by Drs. Stanley Greenspan and Serena Wieder. Families travel from across the country and abroad to attend the school because of its innovative programs, welltrained staff, and love and care showered on all students. Year after year, Celebrate the Children continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to its students. Our mission is to provide our students with a solid foundation for learning by fostering each child’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. We take pride in supporting students to be happy, secure, social, and creative individuals while celebrating each of the unique qualities that define who they are throughout their lifespan.

Celebrate the Children is a state-approved, private school and a non-profit organization under the 501(c)3. It is supported by sending school districts, private contributions from individuals, matching gifts, memorial and tribute gifts, businesses large and small, community service organizations, and corporations. GET SET UP HANDBID APP ü Download the Handbid App - find it in your app store or use your phone’s camera to scan the QR Code. ü Enter your name, email address, and cell phone number. ü Search for “Celebrate the Children’s 2022 Let’s Play Auction,” then click on the event. ü You can choose to pre-register to bid, or just browse. ü Make sure you enable notifications! You will receive notifications through the app if you are outbid, when the auction is closing, and if you are a winning bidder! ü Add a credit card to bid (or set it up later). ü Your Dashboard tracks all of your bids for you. ü You can browse or search for items; all items are categorized, swipe right to left to navigate through categories. ü Tap any item to pull up the details for that item. ü Select the camera icon to view item videos or the multiple photo icon to see more pictures. ü Swipe down on the gray tab between the image and the item to return to item categories.
PLACE A BID ü For regular bids, the minimum bid is always shown. Increase your bid by tapping the plus symbol. You will get an instant notification if you have placed the highest bid. ü You will be notified if you are outbid, and you have the option to return to the item to increase your bid. ü Tap the three colored dots at the top of your screen to return to the dashboard.
AUCTION ENDS? ü You will receive a notification through Handbid that the auction is ending. ü All items won will end up in the “Purchased” section of your dashboard. ü When the auction ends, you will be directed to your invoice to pay for any items with the credit card you pre-registered with Handbid.
MAKE A DONATION ü Click “Donate” in the upper right hand corner of the Handbid app. This will take you to a website, where you can choose an amount to donate. ü After you choose an amount, click the green “Donate” button at the bottom, then click “Back to the Auction” to return to the Handbid app. ü You can also choose to donate through the “Donation” auction item category. Click the item with the amount you would like to donate, and click the “donate now” button.

All items are “as is.” Celebrate the Children has attempted to describe and catalog the items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made on this website, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. ü Bidders who win items containing alcohol must be 21 years or over at time of auction. ü The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor to clarify the amount of deduction. ü Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of auction using a VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card. If you need alternative payment arrangements, please contact Celebrate the Children at gala@celebratethechildren.org. Auction items will not be released until payment arrangements have been made. ü Auction winners will be notified the week following the auction for pick-up or delivery arrangements. Shipment and insurance on packages will be available for a fee. ü Celebrate the Children reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction. ü Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction.
