This atlas provides basic information and overviews of the occurrence of co-seismic landslides, the subsequent rainstorm-induced debris flows, and the methods used for hazard and risk assessment in the Wenchuan-earthquake affected area. The atlas pages are illustrated with maps, photos and graphs, showing the results of the inventory and analysis of co-seismic landslide and post-earthquake debris flows. The atlas summarizes the changing characteristics related to post-seismic mass movement activity after the earthquake. The atlas highlights methods to assess the hazard and risk of debris flows for 145 catchments in Wenchuan County at different scales. The atlas also displays
some examples of risk management such as engineering measures and early warning systems. This atlas contributes to post-earthquake disaster reduction planning, mitigation, and reconstruction works in seismically active mountainous areas.
