What is Design for me ? Design is a hard thing to define because it evolves through time depending on a context, and the context moves really fast since the industrial revolution. The profession itself is really recent and to create designers use evolving processes, tools and values. Adding creativity and flexibility allows us to manage complex and diverse projects. Indeed in a globalized and connected world we need to create product-service-system solutions and must implement different important values: environmental, social, ethical, cultural, ... Nowadays, being a Global Designer is a great plus to have a full perspective on every project. In a close future being a Strategic Designer will add an other important perspective. A Strategic Designer can carry out a design and/or managerial role within the innovation process to transform ideas into projects and business opportunities. Strategic Design tries to make values tangible and clearly integrates products, services and communication strategies into the project. Thus being able to evolve (and so to survive successfully) as well as maintaining and developing one’s own identity. Strategic design is about evolution.

The CIM (Medical Imaging Center) became larger and got an entire new floor in a clinic. This center assembles 8 doctors divided in 3 blocs: radiography, ultrasound, mammography. The intention of this project was to create a real feeling of expertise for the patient using a new brand identity and a new space layout. The circular flow creates a clear accompanying during all the time spent in the building.

In metropolitan areas increasingly loaded, where it is very difficult to park the car and to travel by bike, what kind of means could be developed to improve daily transport to work ? An electric scooter weighs between 9 and 15kg, has a range of 20 to 30km, and is compact. It has a lot of benefits and offers a real alternative to mixed transport modes. This scooter line, thought for Volvo, offers a futuristic design while highlighting this particular technical line.

The client came to build a new brand identity because the first festival has grown into four different events. The goal was to unify the diversity of landscapes and events so we used four pictos plus four complementary colors and created a logo that represents the festival.

More than 10 ergonomic problems found on a basic machine of a supermarket.

Trouble: The screen and the keyboard are not adjustable. Recommendation: They should be easy to adjust (depth, height and angle) to offer the best comfort to cashiers whatever their size but also to avoid light‘s reflection on the screen which could be disturbing. Display

An articulated arm could permit an optimal orientation for the screen, the keyboard and the display. They are fixed with screws to facilitate the access, the use and the longevity.

The Future of Mimicry Insects are inspiring, three animals on four are insects but we don’t really see them maybe because they are living with Earth and Nature easily. Humans are also increasing on Earth and they are taking more and more place, to the detriment of insects, building cities, towers and... garbages.

38

Experimental Art

We can imagine, one day, garbage will terribly increase and we will be forced to live with it. Insects are living shorter so we can also imagine that after some generations a new kind of adapted insects will survive and start to develop themselves. These new insects will be able to live between garbages and to use garbage mimicry to survive. Work done in India - Inspired by Insect - Exhibition in Dublin

P G How to make people addicted to urban trees? By making urban trees functional ! The city of Bordeaux is world famous for its wine and its history, indeed the city is on UNESCO world heritage list which attracts a lot of tourists. In 2015 they were elected Best European Destination. As a metropole, they also work hard on new technologies and environment: for example the tourist office started to use augmented reality and an online website is referencing all the trees of the city. The app is made to help tourists that arrive in Bordeaux. The tourists just have to select the activities they would like to do and the amount of days they are staying in Bordeaux. The app will then create a plan that fits their needs depending on other local informations (weather, schedule, bus and metro lines,...). Knowing the schedule and locations, the app will guide tourists around the city using augmented reality. It will virtually create a board on every tree of the city showing the direction and the distance. The app has a clear online and offline mode and everything is made to be usable without data. For example GPS doesn’t need data.

Poli is a sportswear’s brand specialized on cycling and triathlon since 1979. They recently changed their brand identity to focus on a professional market with a new baseline that shows their vision: “Designed for performance”. This strategy made them enlarge the head quarters office in Marseille (France), I had to create the meeting room. Needs: A meeting room: a large table for 12 people and a wardrobe to hang sportswear’s collections. Solution: After some interviews and research I realized that the 12 people meeting was only once a year. To be more useful, I created a system were two panels can move from one structure to another to permits a living system that can scale depending on actual needs.

Brand atmosphere: We decided to accentuate the home atmosphere so clients would feel welcomed at the head quarter. Raw materials and solid structures like the dressing are made to show the durability of the brand, things are made to stay and to keep working well. Environment: Everything has been made by a local artisan to respect the value of the company, and my personal vision of Design.
