step 2: setup your app! a) go to www.myappyrestaurant.com b) click on “restaurant owner login” c) enter your login details d) check your details are correct on the “basic info” tab e) check your details are correct on the “detailed info” tab f)

click on “update app content | menu” and update your menu

g) click on “update app content | about us” and update it too

that’s it….you’re good to go!

every time your customers call to book a table… your restaurant must get anywhere from 10 to 100 table bookings a day! (that’s about 2,000 to 20,000 people a year)!

it only takes about 10 seconds to ask them if they have your app. just imagine how many app users you would have if you used this strategy alone!!! …especially if you offer them (something good*)

when your customers stand at the urinals or hand basins... …seriously what else have they got to do than read whatever message you put in front of their faces.

so create a quick sign that promotes your app…you’ll be amazed how many extra app users you’ll get!

promote your app on your restaurant website (if you have one)… it can be as easy as adding a small text box that promotes your app, or if you want to go that little bit further, you can even add a link so that your customers can instantly access your app from the app store. of course, offer them (something good*) for even better results! …either way, your website is an obvious place to spread the word about your new app!

put it on your staff uniforms (if you have them)… you can get the slogan “be our VIP, get our APP” printed on your staff shirts, aprons, hats, or just on their name badges.

whichever option you choose, your staff will all become walking billboards for your new app!

wrap a little surprise into every customers’ serviette… that way, when they first sit down, they’ll be very curious to check it out. it can be a great conversationstarter for people when they first sit at their table, and gives them a good chance to actually get (something good*) before they have left your restaurant…which means they’ll get a great first impression of the app and use it even more!

when you hand your customers their receipt at the counter… make sure you also hand them a small piece of paper that promotes your app! it doesn’t have to be flashy (black & white squares cutout from an A4 sheet is fine). it’d be a great idea to add a small incentive on there as well… eg. ”download our app before (this date) and we’ll give you (something good*)”.

whenever you do any marketing for your restaurant… …add a little something about your app! also a great idea to use your app as a part of your promotion. For example, “download our app and get (something good*)” it’s easy, but it really works!

every time your customers call to order taketake-away! just ask them if they have your app? if they do, tell them they’ll get (something good*) if they show to it to the delivery person when they turn up. if they don’t have your app yet, tell them to download it before the delivery person arrives and they’ll get (something good*).
