Love and Admiration Triumphs Over Adversity
Don’t blink, or you might miss Jim Weber zipping around the hallways of Cedar Community Elkhart Lake’s assisted living residence. The 99-year-old has a new set of wheels, a scooter, that his wife Betty says has brought him new freedom and joy. But joy is not new for Jim and Betty, who celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in September of 2019. Their love story, more than seven decades in the making, had a challenging beginning, but has endured and grown with time. 06
