COMMUNITY PAVILION

PROJECT BACKGROUND In the world of separation and isolation, I want to challenge the society by space arrangement.

The aims of the Design are to create a space for the local resident to gather on the site. Helping them to discuss and learn from other citizens which living adjacent to the place. A design proposal that encouraging design thinking to all participant and to face the social problem in this abandoned location. Through envisioning the design thinking and problem, visualise the spatial experience of democratic socialism and the utopia social design in a non-political aspect. Spatial design as a practice on social change and response to a social problem. The component of the research is combined with multiple fields of knowledge and concepts to create a new vision of how to respond to the issue. Which consolidates a range of social related research and to investigate innovative insight and method for contemporary context on material and spatial relationship with human activities.

This process act as an essential part of the iterative design sequence. Improvement will be further developed along with other difference cycles. The potential solutions lead to alternati e thoughts that can help to finalise the topic. The proposed outcome is a first concept of communit pa ilion.

MATERIALS

DESIGN CONCEPT t the end of the process e er colour without light remains darkness. The food will be gone just like lava wipes out the landscape. The scheme SILHOUETTE is a timely reflection of nature’s light and night. The intention is to adopt Tuscany tone from the autumn to provide the reminiscent impression. It reflects on a warm and sympathetic sensation. Through the reddish lava that animated the Mount Etna, this reminds us that the energy and power of nature will not always stay the same. To mimic the dynamic of the unstable earth with a stimulation of a bit dramatic within the peaceful scene.

BRANDING STATEGY

Art Adventure exhibition for Palazzo Impellizzeri is an innovative project that connects the practice of geology and art. Through the temporary structure, the people can walk through different dimension within the building. The geological and historical profile from oto inspires the concept of this pro ect. s the structure of the building is required to restore. The temporary platform is the combination works for the construction and raise attention to the public about the geological education and restoration works. n oto all the building is using the same nto limestone due to their geological profile. The design proposal aesthetic is the combination of the material and culture.

The Bar Lounge associate the contemporary structure and continue with the raw material design with Onto limestone, glass and steel, playing the light with white stucco. The minimalistic approach allows the stone to sparkle itself. ith the suspended planetoid lighting and custom downlight the glass re ected all the light and the colour of the stone.

DEVELOPMENT OF PARK ISLAND

A peaceful moment with the space. Design for public, there are always many factors should take into count. The most important factor is always related to people. The building can affect the feeling by its emotion and the atmosphere that space create is remarkable. We want to create an atmosphere by making this space speaks for itself. It is a proposed development for the Catholic Church in Park Island, Hong Kong. It is inspired by gothic architecture and contemporary materials. We aimed to integrate the feature from gothic style and have a twist with the pre-fabricated materials. With the combination of the natural slope, the architecture sits in the hills in Park island.

The iew from the second oor shows the simplistic arrangement for the space. e introduce se eral stained glasses to the space to create the light effect. ith the white wo en clothing for the ceiling we bring in the shadow of the light and the mo ement to invite people to the front. The greenery stairs with glass structure perform the symbol of going from the green land to

the higher place above. The simple cross presents the language of the chapel and it stated that it is a story belongs to here. The view of the chapel try to create the contemporary form of the idea from the gothic style. The various sets of glass allows the sun shading in contrasting shadow. Concrete pre-frabric structure and stained glass shaping the stories from the bible.

The lighting s stem for the chapel is occasional that s wh we want to create the different layer of light and colour simply by using the natural sunlight. e understand the need for the chapel. nd also for e er person this place will be full of inspiration peaceful space for everyone to listen to their heart with god or to themselves.
