DYLAN + JENI
ust when you thought there wasn’t room for one more taco joint in Los Angeles, along comes chef Ray Garcia (formerly of Santa Monica’s Fig) with his game-changing B.S. Taqueria concept. The casual sidekick to Garcia’s grander Broken Spanish eatery—also set to bow Downtown this summer—B.S. Taqueria is a playful ode to Los Angeles’ Mexican cuisine. Standouts
include the signature tacos (lengua, clam and lardo), as well as shareable snacks like lemon-pepper chicken chicharrones and a revolving nightly family-style dish. End the meal on a sweet note with one of mixologists Julian Cox and Nick Meyer’s cocktails (such as the margarita-inspired Hoja Santa), which offer grownup takes on traditional Mexican candy flavors. 514 W. Seventh St., L.A., 213-622-3744; bstaqueria.com.
