Woody Review Woodview School News 340 Alleghany Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 847-223-3668 “An Environment Where We Can All Grow Together”
A Letter from our principal...
Principal: Cathy Santelle
April 26, 2013 Dear Parents and Guardians, I would like to thank all Woodview families for attending the Art Extravaganza on Thursday night. Miss Heinz and her students were so excited showing all of the amazing artwork on display. I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all the volunteers who helped display the artwork and turned our music room into an aquarium of art! It is that time of the year to say thank you to all of the professionals that help make Woodview School such a wonderful place. Please join me in recognizing the following… April 24th we celebrated Administrative Professional’s Day appreciating all the hard work done by our office staff. Next time you are at Woodview, be sure to thank Mrs. Manuel, Mrs. Ogierman and Mrs. Isaacs. The week of May 6th-10th will be Teacher Appreciation Week. We celebrate the dedication that each teacher demonstrates on a daily basis to help each child be successful. We have so many dedicated staff members here at Woodview. Please take the time to thank them for all the wonderful things they do for your children. I know I am very grateful for each and every one of them! I welcome parent involvement in the class placement process for next year. I recognize that parents know their children better than anyone else. If you would like to offer insight, share your perspective, or express a need on behalf of your child, please write a letter and submit it to the main office as soon as possible. It is very difficult to grant requests for specific teachers. I ask that your letter focus on your child's learning style, significant learning experiences for him/her, and/or the type of teaching style to which your child responds best.
Sincerely, Cathy Santelle Principal—Woodview School

Thank you so much to all who have already volunteered to help on Exploration Day. Many parents have offered to share their talents as presenters which has allowed us to put together one of the best Exploration Day’s yet! We have also had many families already volunteer to help out in many other areas on Exploration Day, but we can always use more help! If you have the time, please consider joining us for part, or all, of this exciting day. If you have any questions, please contact one of the Exploration Day coordinators listed on the form below.
