Garden Work Day It looks like Spring is just around the corner, which means the Woodview School Garden work will start soon! On April 17 after Early Release (11:00a.m.) planning will start. If you’re interested, be on the lookout for a SignUp Genuis Volunteer email or check out

The next Box Tops contest is underway and will end after Spring break on Friday, April 4th. That will give you time to collect Box Tops from friends and family while visiting during break! Please send in your Box Tops and help your child’s classroom win. Good luck! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents, which adds up! Every dollar earned through the Box Tops program goes directly towards helping the children at Woodview. These funds help purchase items such as classroom supplies, field trips, assembly programs, or books for the children! We also love Labels for Education points. They are separate from the Box Tops program and contest, and should be put in their own baggie or envelope, please. Please leave the bar code and point number in tact while clipping Labels. Thank you, and happy clipping! Question? Contact Virginia Fitzgerald at

Friday, May 9, 2014 WHAT IS EXPLORATION DAY? Exploration Day is one of the most exciting days of the year, filled with exploring, learning, and having fun. The students will choose from over 20 hands-on presentations and move about the school experiencing interactive and interesting topics. The day will begin with a ceremony in the gym, and end with a video in the classrooms, showing highlights from the day’s activities. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! It takes more than 100 volunteers to make this wonderful day the success it always is. Exploration Day volunteers help presenters in classrooms as well as assist with classroom supervision during the lunch hour. You can volunteer for the whole day or just morning or afternoon. Lunch will be provided for all presenters and volunteers. All half-day volunteers are welcome to stop in before or after their shift for lunch. If you are able to help out on that day, please indicate that below and a committee member will contact you. I would like to volunteer to help on Exploration Day: _____Morning _____Afternoon (8:00am – 12:00pm) (10:45am – 1:45pm)

_____I’m available the whole day (8:00am – 1:45pm)
