School Supply Packs

Upcoming Events

Last Day of School, Wednesday, June 6th

The PTO is still accepting orders for school supply packs through the last day of school! Make it easy on yourself this August, and have the PTO do your back to school shopping for you! School supply packs cost $35 for incoming kindergarteners and $40 for grades 1-4. If you would like to place an order or have any questions, please contact Kelly Murphy at kellymurphy8980@yahoo.com or 847752-8780. Thanks!

THANK YOU FROM THE PTO The PTO would like to thank everyone for the great year we have had! With your help and support, through volunteering at events, donating items when asked, and participating in our many fundraisers, we were able to do some really great things at Prairieview this year! First and foremost, the PTO purchased four SmartBoards this year, which brings an end to a multi-year goal the PTO set of providing every classroom with a SmartBoard! We also purchased four iPads for the reading specialists and fulfilled various special requests submitted by teachers to enhance

their classroom environments. We helped to subsidize the cost of field trips for all students and also helped families in need with extra school expenses, such as the recorders all 3rd graders must purchase. We paid for an all-school assembly and held special events such as Movie Night, Bingo Night, and the Dad and a Daughter / Boy and a Buddy Nights. Finally, the all-school, full-day event of Discovery Day is fully funded by the PTO. We feel it’s important to list the achievements of this past school year so that you, as parents, know that when you buy from Market Day or some other fundraiser, it makes a difference. Everything listed above would not be possible without the parent participation that we have received throughout the year. Everything counts. We have a lot of really great, new events planned for next year, and we can’t wait to share with all of you what a great year it will be! Until then, have a great summer and see you in the fall!

Prairieview PTO Survey Your input is very important to us! Your PTO has spent some time recapping the year’s activities, brainstorming events, and looking at the endless possibilities for next year. The following questions were prepared for you to help us make next year even better. Your candid responses would be greatly appreciated. Please return this form to school by Wednesday, June 6th. Note that some of the questions are in the form of an appeal – we need volunteers, new ideas, and new energy to make next year as successful as this year! Please do not feel you have to be involved in every event and fundraiser; helping with a single project would be greatly appreciated! Even just a couple of hours of your time will help make our student events a great success. Thank you in advance for returning this important form. All surveys will be kept anonymous.
