Good morning: We hope you had a great weekend! Although the weather does not look like it will cooperate this week, we are starting to look forward to the warmer weather approaching. Please discuss again the expectations for appropriately dressed young men and ladies while attending GMS. With the impending warmer weather, comes a need for a reminder. Thank you for helping us with that discussion. GMS celebrates another great community service project! Congratulations to the GMS learning community for raising approximately $5600 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. We had a great day of community service two Thursday's ago where almost 50 people either shaved or cut their hair to help others. Keep an eye out for this event next year as we're going to open it up to our community by having an evening event to go along with our school celebration. We hope we can turn this into a real community event so that all Grayslake residents have the opportunity to give back to a great cause! There are many "thank yous" that have already begun to happen, but I'd like to thank the staff from Legacy Salon in Round Lake Beach for their help. They were very efficient and professional in their work during our assembly. Internet Safety Speaker Please remember to hold a spot in your calendar for our internet safety speaker this Wednesday at GMS from 6:30 - 7:30. We hope to see you there. Congratulations! To all of our GMS students involved in our band and choir programs. All students went to their state competitions and showed off their talents and GMS in a great, great way! Congratulations to all and thank you for sharing your talents with so many. 8th Grade Parents: Later this week, information will be sent home about graduation fees. Further, during the week of May 12th, you will receive a mailing with more information and your child's graduation tickets. Please look for this mailing. Frederick School invites us to participate... Tomorrow night, Frederick School will have a speaker about helping our students to stay more organized! If interested, please join in on the presentation. Please see the attachment for more information.

Have a great week ahead. Stay warm and dry! Marcus and Karen Â
