Frederick School Community Consolidated School District #46 "The Mission of School District #46 is to pursue excellence to shape the future." __________________________________________________________________________ Eric K. Detweiler James Goschy Principal Assistant Principal

February 2, 2018 Dear Students and Families: As you know, there has been a large focus on creating a nurturing and supportive environment at Frederick School built on the values of respect and kindness. As we seek to continue to grow our school community, it is our goal that every student feels valued while committing to work alongside their peers and staff members to facilitate this type of environment. Our school has used several resources developed by The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to inspire everyone to practice and spread kindness, this school year to help support our goals in creating a school community that all students and staff feel proud to be part of. We will also be taking part in Random Acts of Kindness week, which is scheduled to take place the week of February 12th through February 16th. Each day during homeroom times and through our school broadcasts, our students will be exposed to important messages and activities that seek to reinforce the power of kindness and respect, and how these small acts can greatly influence how our students relate to and work productively with others. For more information, please feel free to check out information from the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation at www.randomactsofkindness.org. Sincerely,

Eric Detweiler Principal 595 Frederick Road
