This is a guide to maintaining the marketing position within UBSA. It provides important information that should only be shared between the marketing co-chairs and the UBSA E-board. These guidelines serve as a recap of our current progress and as inspiration for bigger and better ideas.

BRAND

This is how UBSA identifies itself aesthetically. The brand is what makes us stand out from other organizations, not just on campus but across the country. Its job is to represent UBSA and tell others what the organization is about before anyone even says a word. A brand doesn’t necessarily have to stay the same, but consistancy builds strength and familiarization. All logos and graphic designs can be found in the UBSA Google Drive folder labeled: Branding & Design.

LOGOS PRIMARY Primarily used on event flyers, public statements, and when outside orgs need our logo.

SECONDARY Primarily used on our website, personal social media posts, most merchandise.

USAGE Social media is a main outlet for UBSA to update students, faculty, staff, even administration. Outside organizations and alumni also follow UBSA accounts, so it’s important for the org to stay professional and informative. UBSA social media accounts should not be used for personal gain or conflicts and should remain appropriate for everyone.

UBSA has a range of merch to promote the organization and act as a fundraiser.

The Big Cartel store front is where our products are displayed and where people can buy them. It also keeps track of orders and revenue, but it’s only visible when logged into the account.

PRINTFUL

Printful fulfills and ships orders that we design. They will print designs on a variety of products and ship the order to customers. Printful is synced with the Big Cartel account: when a customer makes the order on Big Cartel, the order is sent to Printful so they can make it and send it to the customer.

WEBSITE

UBSA website has gone through a lot of upgrades and must continue to evolve to accurately reflect the organization. This contains information on how to manage and maintain the established site and everything that comes with it.

This domain is registered at Wix and is set to be renewed yearly in August to remain active. It connects to our UBSA site currently hosted by Wix. There is no mailbox for the site and site analytics are provided by Google Analytics for free.

DEVELOPER WIX.COM

The website is powered by Wix. UBSA has the most basic Premium plan that is renewed yearly, which allows the domain to be connected, 500MB storage, 1GB bandwidth, and has to display Wix Brand Ads.

The following are directions on how to update and maintain the current site. The current set up is not permanent, and creative and functionable design changes are encouraged if necessary.

LOG IN AT WIX.COM Once logged in, the UBSA dashboard will be presented (Image 1). Many of the options presented allow you to manage the Wix account. To edit the actual website, click on the Manage Site button located in the side bar on left. 10

This breifly touches on the creative ways UBSA captures moments and highlights our peers.

PHOTOS We take photos of our programs and events for the website gallery, social media, and for our newsletter. It showcases what we do and highlights the people who are involved.

VIDEOS We create videos GIFs, and other interactive content to promote our programs or the organization itself. Videos are uploaded to our website, social media, and our Youtube account.

SPOTLIGHTS UBSA Spotlights are a new way of highlighting our peers who are doing interesting things on campus or in the community. Spotlights can be in any medium; series of photos, a video, an article, etc.
