“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” Hebrews 12:1-2

Theme What is freedom? Freedom is defined as, “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” We conceptualize freedom to be something that liberates us from any constraint or restriction, as we live by and through our freedom not for it. However, we fall victim to misusing and perverting our Christian freedom from the law to be a license for sin.
Summary and Goal
It is not love that is effective through faith but faith that is effective through love, that is to say that it works out its efficacy that way. However, we’re not justified by what it does but by what it believes. Works do not bring it to life, but it operates on works to bring them alive, in exactly the same way as good fruits do not make the tree good but the other way around.
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalm 51:10-12

To Paul all that mattered was faith which works through love. Simply, the essence of Christianity is not law but a personal relationship to Jesus Christ.
