from Wayne County that may save many lives. The People First Chapter Of Wayne County which is composed of people enrolled as consumers of Buffalo River Services were the hosts this time. The mission of People First in Tennessee and Wayne county is : To serve as an outlet for people with disabilities to air and alleviate their concerns about disability related issues and to work together to address those issues. They are empowering themselves by learning what their rights and responsibilities are and how to be effective self advocates. This group also does socially minded projects to give back to their community such as this donor drive. They went out and set up posters, invited people to donate and collaborated with some of the Wayne County Retired Teachers to man the drive. On the day of the People First members ran the canteen and helped with keeping people hydrated and energized. This is a very important job as a Red Cross volunteer. Two volunteers, Mrs. Sandra Villines and Mrs. Katy Wright were appreciated for their assistance.
