Program Design This degree option is designed for the student planning to transfer to a four-year baccalaureate degree program in a variety of pre-professional curricular areas. The curriculum may be adapted to meet the requirements of the transfer institutions. Related Employment Fields Private or Corporate Veterinary Practice, Specialty Veterinary Practice, Regulatory Veterinary Medicine (state and federal), Commercial/Industry Veterinarian, Military, Research, Academica, Public Health Administration After Colby Community College Students transfer to a fouryear university such as: Colorado State University, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, or Texas A & M. or other universities with a college of veterinary medicine. Students will apply to the College of Veterinary Medicine of their choice. The doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) degree requires an additional four years of professional education after acceptance into veterinary school.
