Community counts. How many lives we are able to impact depends on the support of our volunteers, donors, legislators and stakeholders who understand and support our cause - to create a strong, vibrant, healthy community. Whether it’s providing a cancer survivor the chance to regain their strength, a child the opportunity to experience summer camp for the first time, or an older adult the opportunity to maintain their independence a little longer, your contribution stays right here in our community.

When Kaitlyn Stevens was twelve, she participated in the very first Seventh Grade Initiative class at Central Bucks Family YMCA. The program, provided free to all community 7th graders, gave her a membership and specialized programs just for youth her age.

Thank you to all of our supporters who trust us to invest their donations back into the community we share. Last year, more than $1.8 million dollars was invested to offer programs and services to individuals and families who would otherwise would not be able to pay for them.

Now, over two years later, Kaitlyn has logged hundreds of volunteer hours in the community serving Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Food Pantry, and Pine Run Lakeview Retirement Community with the Y Teen Leaders (YTL) program as well as individually with the Y’s youth sports leagues, gymnastic programs and community events. She volunteers each Sunday afternoon with ACHIEVE, serving as a mentor and buddy to promote interpersonal skills in peers with special needs. She’s traveled internationally to the YMCA Europe Youth Festival in Prague, Czech Republic.

For a complete account of how your dollars are allocated, see our Annual Report on our website under Our Y. Working together will ensure a stronger, brighter future for all of us. Zane Moore President/CEO Central Bucks Family YMCA

2 | FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Y offers the 7th Grade Initiative program through the tremendous support of Univest, National Penn Bank and all donors, big and small. The donations received give youth like Kaitlin, a year to grow in a nurturing environment that encourages healthy living, community service and positive decision making during a key time in their lives. Gifts to the 7th Grade Initiative continue to provide impact far after a child has left the program as each youth grows into a healthy, educated citizen of our community. Two years later, Kaitlyn is still giving back. Still serving the community. Still impacted by your gift.

We know human nature is such that people may be reluctant to ask for help or assistance. We want to emphasize that Central Bucks Family YMCA is first and foremost a charitable organization that is committed to helping the community. Most people can afford the quality programs of the Y, and expect to pay fees out of a sense of personal responsibility, but in times of need, financial assistance continues this responsibility in a partnership of assistance. Each participant pays a part of the fees, based upon a sliding scale, which can be found on our website, and the specific needs of the individual or family. The Y reserves the right to refuse assistance to any applicant. Financial assistance is a temporary agreement extending assistance in a time of need. Please obtain a Financial Assistance application online at www.cbfymca.org, in the hanging informational bins outside the fitness studios and in the lobby area or at the Welcome Center. Connect with Catherine Refice, Financial Assistance Coordinator, 215.348.8131, x1139, or crefice@cbfymca.org. Inquiries pertaining to our Financial Assistance program are treated in a confidential manner. Submit the completed Financial Assistance Application with required documentation to the Welcome Center, or mail to CBF YMCA, Attn: Financial Assistance, 2500 Lower State Road, Doylestown, PA 18901, fax 215.348.3084 or email. Allow three weeks for processing. You will receive a letter by mail notifying you of the status of your application.
