That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:1-3

I wish to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your prayers and your support during the recent conference session. Pastor Al Powell, our new executive secretary, Elder John Wesley our new treasure and I, are moved by the expression of your love. It is our sincere desire to remain committed to the expansion of God’s work here in these islands. We are cognizant that we have been asked to lead God’s Church in the most crucial time in human history and together we solicit your help as we prepare men and women for the coming Kingdom. It is not a conclusive evidence that a man is a Christian because he manifests spiritual ecstasy under extraordinary circumstances. Holiness is not rapture: it is an entire surrender of the will to God; it is living by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God; it is doing the will of our heavenly Father; it is trusting God in trial, in darkness as well as in the light; it is walking by faith and not by sight; it is relying on God with unquestioning confidence, and resting in His love. {AA 51.2}
