GREETINGS & SALUTATIONS There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Today I join the Psalmist David in asking, how we can express thanks to God for His goodness towards us. When we compare His love and His patience in dealing with us, who else could ever be our God. Let me encourage you to worship Him today with all your might for He is worthy of our praise. Let nothing or no one hinders your praise or stops your blessing, and may the peace of God be upon us all today. I would like to thank all our elders for their tremendous support in the recent elder’s certification program. We anticipate the continuation in the near future. Commendation to Pastor McDonald for coordinating this effort. Please remember to continue to support the Savannah Campaign. THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK The promise of the Spirit is not appreciated as it should be. Its fulfillment is not realized as it might be. It is the absence of the Spirit that makes the gospel ministry so powerless. Learning, talents, eloquence, every natural or acquired endowment, may be possessed; but without the presence of the Spirit of God, no heart will be touched, no sinner be won to Christ. On the other hand, if they are connected with Christ, if the gifts of the Spirit are theirs, the poorest and most ignorant of His disciples will have a power that will tell upon hearts. God makes them the channel for the outworking of the highest influence in the universe. {COL 328.1}
