FROM SGAwelcome
Welcome to the 2nd Annual SGA Bull and Female Sale from Siroski Simmentals, Grass Roots Ranch, and Anchorage Farms. Our SGA families are starting to feel like we have our feet under us since blending our ideas, goals, and programs into a live sale of our own. Like most cattlemen, fine tuning the details while keeping the good parts (including the incredible brisket meal!) is always on the agenda. The sale site is located just three miles west of Davidson, making it an easy stop for those attending in person. And if you are unable to join us on sale day, bidding will be available online through DLMS.
A small introduction and warm welcome to our family at Siroski Simmentals, Brett & Brenna. If you know us at all, you know life around here moves fast. Somewhere between kids’ sports schedules, school events, seeding, harvest, calving, and feeding, time has a way of blurring together. One minute you are hauling hockey gear, the next you are checking cows with a flashlight, and somehow it all works itself out. Reagan, Nolan, and Amy have become pretty handy cattle helpers, whether they planned on it or not. We have also been fortunate to have great help along the way, from Lachlan living and working with us, to Tom, Dylan, Stephan, and Brett’s parents, Jim and Donna, contributing through calving, breeding, haying, meals, and beyond. We are grain farmers and cattle producers, and we have been intentional about building our herd quickly through top end genetics and an aggressive embryo program, while staying focused on consistency and function. We know there is always something to learn and no shortage of cattle conversations, whether it is a tip around calving, a better spreadsheet, or trying new feed options like corn silage. We continue to work with BeefSmart to dial feed as conditions change, and we are not afraid to keep learning and adjusting. This year’s offering is heavily influenced by Tommy Gunn 32L, who plays a major role in this catalog and has his own page of introductions. The bulls reflect cattle we believe in, backed by cow families we trust, and ready to go to work when they leave the yard. We truly appreciate everyone who supports this sale, follows along through the year, and takes the time to be part of our program.
At Grass Roots Ranch our family is made up of Rob and Kirstin and our young girls Cawley and Tilly. We are so excited to continue working together with great friends to keep building and improving this sale. 2025 was a big year having this first event together and we were so proud and satisfied with the results! Thank you to everyone who supported us and honored us with your business. Our program continues to be made up of approximately half Angus and half Simmental and we are excited about both breeds and how well they complement each other. We are generally black hided and are working to get our Simmis generally homozygous black in the future. We are working hard to continue improving our product by investing in herdsires, strong females, and our ET program. For this year’s sale we are so excited to show off the RF Intense sire group - the Simmi bull that we invested heavily in and has met all of our standards so far and these first sons are deadly! We are also offering some commercial heifers for the first time, a group of blacks to complement Siroski’s good red heifers. Outside of our cow addiction at home, Rob works with Bohrson Marketing throughout the year and Kirstin works as a RN in Saskatoon at the Children’s Hospital. We appreciate all the past customers we have had the privilege to work with and look forward to building more relationships and continuing to progress in this great business!
Anchorage is a partnership of Jay (Beverly) Bohrson and Scott (Rebecca) Bohrson and we have built a program of May/June calving Angus cows at Hanley, SK. We are focusing on developing coming 2 year old bulls that provide extra maturity, growth and maternal strength. The move a few years back to summer calving was partially focused on time management as the winter calving was very time consuming with a teenage family. Now, this will be the final year within the Hanley 4-H Beef Club as the next generation of Hanley Bohrson’s are growing up and moving away. Avery will be graduating and she will join her siblings Riley and Sienna in the big world. As this will leave a large void, please feel free to give us a call as we love to hear our customers feedback and discuss the excitement that we have seen in the beef industry over the past couple of years. We hope you also have been blessed with ample moisture to replenish feedstacks and keep your pastures growing. We are truly enjoying our partnership with the Siroski’s and Voice’s as it’s great to have like minded, progressive breeders who also like to have a little fun. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
This sale represents more than a date on the calendar. It is bringing our cattle together in a live setting gives us the chance to share what we are passionate about and to connect face to face with people who love this industry as much as we do. Anyone who knows these men knows they will pause whatever they are doing and talk cattle for days, whether it is a phone call in a boat or rink, a visit at someone’s sale, a conversation on the golf course, from a calving pen with a chore tractor and Bluetooth speaker, or even from an airport. With all three SGA families raising kids in agriculture, we know the example we are setting and we appreciate everyone in this industry who is doing the same.
For those attending in person, cattle will be sorted into smaller groups just outside the shop, allowing you time to view them up close and ask questions. Our brisket lunch will be ready, and you can expect warm hospitality and full plates throughout the day. For anyone unable to join us on sale day, the team at Bohrson Marketing Services will be available to assist with selections, and online bidding will be offered through DLMS.
Whether you attend in person or from afar, we look forward to visiting with you, sharing our programs, and making this sale a positive experience. Thank you for your interest and support. We look forward to welcoming you on sale day!

FROM BMSwelcome
On behalf of Bohrson Marketing Services, it is our pleasure to welcome you back to the second annual Siroski Grass Roots Anchorage (SGA) Bull & Female Sale. It is great to be back working with these families after an awesome first event last year - and one of the best sale lunch spreads we encountered all year! This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, March 4th and again located at Siroski Simmentals which is easy to find, just a few miles west of Davidson, Saskatchewan off the #11 Highway. We are thrilled to showcase the combined and continued efforts of three progressive and respected family operations: Siroski Simmentals, Grass Roots Ranch, and Anchorage Farms.
This sale represents the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a shared vision to provide high-quality genetics to the beef industry. The Siroski, Voice, and Bohrson families are closely aligned on their goals and vision for the sale and have extremely complementary programs. The offering includes an outstanding lineup of Simmental and Angus yearling bulls from Siroski and Grass Roots, and twoyear-old Angus bulls from Anchorage, as well as a strong group of open replacement heifers - both purebred Simmental and commercial Simmental cross - from both Siroski and Grass Roots. This sale is an excellent opportunity for both commercial and registered producers to invest in proven, performance-driven cattle that will thrive in all environments and backed by programs that are keen, progressive, and integrity driven.
Whatever you’re looking for in the beef business, we are confident these operations have something to fit your criteria. If you’re looking to add power and performance to your bull battery, strengthen maternal traits, cover your yearling heifers and sleep all night, add a shot of chrome, or need an older bull that’s ready for heavy workload and to cover more cows - this group of consignors has something to meet your needs on the bull front. The open registered and commercial Simmental females are strong, ready to fit into any program and breed right away if needed. Genetically, you will want to check out the first Tommy Gunn sons in particular - Siroski’s new herdbull acquisition did an amazing job with his first calf crop!
We invite you to join us at the Siroski farm on March 4th to enjoy the warm hospitality and strong cattle from programs on the rise. It is a convenient location just a few miles west of Davidson and on a main grid. The cattle will be available for viewing prior to the sale, and these families are eager to welcome you and share their programs. For those unable to attend in person, our team at Bohrson Marketing is highly familiar with all 3 programs and geared up to assist you in any way. If you have any questions or need assistance in selecting cattle that fit your program, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us or any of the consignors directly. Online bidding will also be available through DLMS.

TOMMY GUNN ultra/hval
Tommy Gunn 32L joined our herd in 2024. When we had the opportunity to partner with Canadian Sires we jumped at the chance. We purchased him together for $140,000 from the Ultra Livestock and Hay Valley program because we believed in his ability to continue to accelerate our program. That belief was quickly validated through strong semen demand from respected purebred operations who saw the same potential. You will notice this year’s offering is heavily influenced by Tommy Gunn. We wanted to get a head start on what we knew was coming and did not shy away from going all in.
Tommy Gunn made his impact early and has never slowed down. He set the single jump semen production record at Alta Genetics, then returned home and covered a full pen of cows with ease. That level of fertility is not accidental, and it is something we place real value on. He continues to prove it in the pasture and through AI programs with an exceptionally high stick rate.
Tommy Gunn checked every box we were looking for. Dark red colour, big rib, power, presence, and a structural base that holds together. His calf crop has come on early with muscle, balance, correctness, and consistency across the board. They have the kind of look that makes sorting easy. With a full sister who topped the female sale to KT Ranch, the pedigree backs up the performance. Tommy Gunn is a bull we are confident anchoring our program with, and he is only beginning to leave his lasting stamp in the Simmental industry.

• Sired by KT Gravity, who is the Coleman Glacier X SAV Rainfall combination who was the second leadoff bull at KT’s 2024 sale to Lewis Farms and Rocking Heart Range
• Facilitator 510 has always had a great look, strong performance for a heifer’s first calf, and we just always knew he would be a highlight for the bull sale. His dam is a Coleman Bravo granddaughter and has a beautiful udder.

• We have had success with our SAV Madame Pride 8352 donor to a number of different sires and we really like this Bar-E-L Dominion son. We bought half of Dominion from Anchorage and are happy to share walking rights on this good looking sire who was our favorite bull at Bar-E-L’s final bull sale.
• Supreme 509 will add some punch in a well made package and is backed by a productive donor cow. He has added frame and performance and is right up there with our heaviest bulls of either breed.
• Maternal brothers have sold to K-Cow Ranch, Muirhead Cattle Co., and Hummock Springs Ranch. We have 4 good maternal sisters retained in the herd.

• Deluxe 522 is our calving ease oriented Dominion son from a herd favorite cow. The 002 cow is known as Brielle around here (after our friends’ daughter), and since a calf she has been the tamest animal in the yard. Never halter broke or worked with but she is an absolute sweetheart and a beauty cow to boot.
• 522’s dam is also a full sister and flushmate to Grass Roots Bond 007 who we share with Nu Horizon Angus and has been a great breeding bull for both of our programs.
• Deluxe is a moderate framed, smooth profiling bull with calving ease credentials but still packs some shape on his frame. If you want calving ease, maternal, and proven genetics, Deluxe has it all. Top 5% for BW EPD

• We love these Oklahoma sired cattle - he has been our exclusive AI sire on Angus heifers for a few years now and we plan to continue with that. They are true calving ease cattle that still perform, are sound, attractive, and truly everything we want out of a CE sire.
• Now onto the dam… Dixie Erica 325 is one of our prized young cows that we have been excited about since birth. It is rewarding to see a plan come to fruition - we bought embryos, got a heifer and love her, grew her up, and now she is in production. An absolute tank, beautiful looking, great udder - we will be building around her here!
• Stockman 533 has been on our radar for a long time based on our excitement for the pedigree and he is what we wanted - smooth, sound, well built, and still enough bull. He has been a consistent top bull all year. He is top 15% for both CE and BW EPDs.

• Our other Oklahoma son is out of a heifer that we sold at the 2024 Brooking female sale to Barber Cattle Co and Willow Hollow. We brought the son that was inside her when she sold back here and he fit right into the group.
• Herdsman 519 is our lowest actual BW Angus bull of the sale and the best on his CE and BW EPDs - a surefire calving ease bull out of a first calf heifer. He has also been our top performing bull of either breed from October to January when reviewing our weights - impressive!
• He has that calving ease look from his head to his shoulders to his extra length and smoothness. Backed by an actual Beauty of a cow, you can breed him to heifers and keep all of his daughters with confidence.

• Interplanetary 503 is a short gestation, 81lb birthweight bull on a beautiful mature cow. He is the bull in the group that gets better and better with age and we can picture him as an impressive mature herdsire.
• We bought Juanada 276’16 at the 2023 Anchorage Winter Calving Dispersal with our friends the Labatte and Oberle families and she has now given us 3 strong bulls but would love to get a heifer - she is an awesome cow to look at!
• With the beautiful type of his mother and the bone, power, maternal, and foot quality of the Mercury cattle, we really like this combination. We don’t usually think of Mercury as a calving ease bull but here is a son that is top 10% for calving ease EPD.
• OWNED WITH LABATTE AND OBERLE
• Production 542 is a good bull out of two strong parents. His sire, Cool Whip, came from the good folks at Perrot Cattle Company, who are great at raising cattle and kids, but not so much at naming bulls (LOL sorry Anna).
• All jokes aside, Cool Whip was their 2023 high seller to Anchorage, and when Anchorage dispersed their winter calving cows in the fall of 2023, our friends at Wild T Farms purchased him, we wintered him, and gave him a little use here. Unlike the actual Cool Whip, he got more and more impressive as he got older. I was pretty excited with how he looked when we dropped him at Doug’s pasture that summer.
• 542’s dam has been an awesome cow for us and still looks great at age 10. We were proud when she made the cover of the Angus Collection female sale catalog in 2025 (thanks to Madison Lafrentz for doing a great job picturing cows for us last summer! ). Duchess 637 calved again recently and gained 23 days on her calving interval - pretty cool for a cow at that age!

PEN OF 5 COMMERCIAL HEIFERS
These are January - February 2025 born heifers
We would normally keep all of these heifers and make them into embryo recipients in the future, but we already calved 10 extra cows in 2026… and Kirstin has noticed the size of the replacement pen. We thought it would be fun to add a black pen onto the good red pens the Siroskis annually offer. 1 heifer is sired by Bar-E-L Dominon 64K and the other 4 are sired by IPU 33B Caliber 125K, a good Caliber son from the Labatte program. All heifers have been developed alongside our own replacements, are on a full vaccination program, and will be ready to breed as early as you’d like.
