We bred a few cows to some of the breed leading Angus bulls, hoping these two great breeds would compliment each other. Teller is a very stout, long, exceptionally deep bodied bull that has plenty of performance. His sire, Bank Note, has one of the elite angus cows for a mother. Daughters from this guy should make excellent replacement females and the steers should push down the scale in the fall. Babcock Livestock and Brad Paulgaard and Family have maternal brothers to this bull.

Armor’s sire Terminator was purchased for his calving ease, growth, and quality. We have used him three years now in the heifer pen with great success. The terminator calves are born small, vigorously get up and suck, and have enough performance to avoid the cull pen. Terminator himself is Homo Polled and Hetero Black so he works very well on fullblood heifers such as 339F’s dam. Armor is the result of Terminator crossed with a sweet dark red goggled heifer with a nice udder. He is a prime example of how lucky we are to have the red, black, and fullblood cattle to compliment each other.

These two Terminator sons are very much built from the same mould. We A.I our heifers one cycle and then for the last three years have used Terminator or Imax for a cycle to clean up. Because they both calve so easy it is nice to have them in the bull battery when needed. With our cow numbers we want these calves born easily, up quick, tagged, and out the door.
