We need to stop and take a look at every aspect of our lives and see those things that are good and perfect gifts that God has so bountifully given to us. 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” We have a roof over our heads despite not building it. We have food to eat despite not having to plant and grow it. If we have our health, it’s a true blessing. Some people are not as fortunate. We have cars, buses, trains,
trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” We really don’t deserve what we have as a nation: we owe the Heavenly Father for it all. He deserves our true thanks, praise, and worship. I thank the Heavenly Father because He is always by my side through the dark clouds and through the sunshine. Philemon 1:4: “I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers.”
