HARVEST TEA

WELCOME BACK It has been wonderful to welcome back all of our pupils after a happy and safe summer break. A special congratulations to all pupils for joining us with the correct, smart full uniform and all the resources they need. The children have settled well in to their new classes and have already been wowing me with their excellent work. You will have noticed our new-look library and hall area – this is the resut of another building project undertaken during the summer break and has made a big impact on the school already. If you haven’t had the opportunity to take a look, please do. We welcome Miss Swan, Miss Lowndes, Miss Lees, Mrs Derry and Mr Johnson to the school staff team – we will be running a ‘fact file’ on each new member of staff in the forthcoming newsletters. HOUSE CAPTAINS

BIRTHDAY TABLES

The children heard speeches made by our Year Six class and voted for their house captains for 2013/ 2014. The children chosen were:

We have reviewed our birthday table provision to make it simpler for both parents and pupils. If your child would like a birthday table, we ask for you to bring in a cake to light which will be presented to your child during lunch. Your child will still have a specially decorated birthday table, but there is no longer a need to book in advance. There is no cost as children will eat their usual lunch.

Red House: Ryan Doyle and Lauren Murray Yellow House: Matthew Barker and Alyssia Hearth Green House: Charlotte Frost and Nathan Cryer Blue House: Archie Burrows and Mia Joyce Well done to our new House Captains!

MUSIC LESSON We will be offering 1:1 or small group music lessons, again this year at Catmose Primary. Please see Mrs Jackson to discuss music lessons further. • • • •

Clarinet Flute Guitar Paino

Children need to bring in a list of the 7 children they would like to sit with them on the morning of their birthday table. This list will then be given to the Lunchtime Assistants to ensure that your child sits with their chosen friends. We hope that reviewing these arrangements makes the birthday table provision simpler and ensures that all children can have a birthday table at Catmose Primary.
