CREATIVE WRITING.

New Yorker stylist Amia Serrano proves in her work that she is indeed a fashion conscious. It’s inspiring for me to look up to fashion designers/photographers and stylists to have a look at their work. Looking at hard dedication proves just how much time management you put in to be successful. Here we take a journey through her work! With a variety of experience, Serrano has worked with Open Lab Magazine, Relaspe Magazine, Kraven Magazine, and Bridal Tribe Magazine. With also an internship with a fashion editor! It doesn’t stop there; safe to say Serrano is doing her thing! Correctly and efficiently that is. However, beneficial to graduates and inspiring stylists to get out there and work with your talent. A proven dedicated and committed stylist. Serrano’s goal is to be a well-known celebrity stylist, and she knows she can make dreams a reality. With a bit more help, she’s on her way there. Lets take a look at her wonderful creations… Let’s take a look at what stylist Amia, reveals to Amor! Your porfolio is nuts! Who and what gave you such an inspiration? A: Thank you! I told myself I want to be diverse in my styling so I guess I can say that all that inspiration was built around the concepts for each shoot. What is your style/dress sense? A: Classic, simple and versatile. Who is your favourite fashion designer? A: I don’t have a particular favorite, I am just drawn to certain designers more than others. Why made you want to do styling? A: I’d rather put a whole look together rather than design each piece of that look. Did you ever think you were going to do as much, as you have done? A: No. Haha. God has blessed me with a lot of opportunities including this interview and it’s cool to look back and see how far I’ve came. What’s it like working with ‘The Network’? A: It’s been interesting, but in a good way. This is my first time being represented, so it’s a learning experience. Again, I’ve been blessed with a lot of opportunities with The Network. What’s been your best experience so far? A: Styling Recording Artist Mashonda and her Life Style Her video for Russell Simmons’GlobalGrind.com. Other than loving fashion so much, what do you like doing? A: Reading – magazines, The Word, self-help books. Are you French knickers, thong, or granny pants kind of girl? A: Never tried French knickers, so I’d say thong. Where do you see your self in five years time? A: Having done a few spreads in Top magazines and a list of celebrity clientele. What advice would you give someone starting out? Network, get an internship and keep at it because it takes time to build.
