Hub Box

14 Catherine Street, Exeter EX1 1EU After their success in Sidwell Street Hubbox have moved to a much bigger site with their menu of award winning gourmet burgers, salads, nachos and a specials menu of dishes cooked on the charcoal BBQ grill. The new site consisting of two floors with a beautifully designed interior is a modern nod to the nautical history of the South West, it’s cool and inviting. A bar area plus outside seating to the front and a terrace at the back, makes this a suitable site for all year round, all day long eating and drinking. Barista’s serve coffee and teas alongside breakfast, throughout the day the bar is open for craft beers, cocktails and good wines. Hubbox celebrates the best that the Southwest has to offer in food and drink, championing the suppliers, artisans and producers from farms who graze cattle on the moorland on Devon and Cornwalls borders, fish caught on day boats from St Ives harbour and little cottage industry producers dotted around. There are plenty of options for vegetarian and vegans. Hub Box they have started serving the moving mountains plant based burger as alternative to the 21 day aged beef burger the produce with Philip Warrens butchers in Launceston. If you just want a drink and something light to eat, head for the antipasti menu of small nibbles such as smoked humous with warmed flat breads or smoked mackerel paté or share a baked Camembert.
