LOCATION: Bolombolo, Antioquia. Colombia. YEAR: 2010-2013 AREA: 7400 ft2 (including manservant house) DESCRIPTION: Country home located in a gated community in the mountains close to Medellin. With no climate seasons, and warm weather year round, the house was designed with open spaces offering sweeping views of this Andean region. A wood pergola controls the afternoon sun and a green wall on the dining and living area protects the interior from the rain, wind, and minor thermal fluctuations. The house spreads in one level with modules that offer views of the distant landscape and connect with a corridor on the back and a pergola on the front to take full advantage of the surrounding landscape 360-degree views.
