Enjoy A Beautiful State of Vine at the 9th Annual Castle Rock WineFest on Saturday, July 21st

The 2012 Castle Rock WineFest is proud to present more than two dozen top Colorado wineries showcasing their wine selections and spotlighting today's winemakers who have revitalized not only a Colorado tradition, but for many, a family legacy. Winemaking began on Colorado's Western Slope more than a century ago. Modern vineyards feature the classic European wine grape varieties and the art of winemaking is thriving in Colorado. From deep Merlots and expressive Chardonnays to elegant Rieslings and Cabernets, Colorado wines consistently win top national and international awards. Most of these Colorado wineries are small, family-owned estates that have earned a well-deserved reputation for creating a wide variety of premium wines. Colorado wineries carry on the rich tradition of their ancestors, immigrants from middle Europe and Italy, who came seeking their fortune in this part of the west. Some brought cuttings of grapes with them and remnants of some very old vines can still be found to this day! (More details pages 12 & 13.)
