About Lyn & Empty Chair: Lynette Waters-Whitesell was born and raised in Hartford City, Indiana. A Fine Arts graduate of Ball State University, Lyn has worked in East Central Indiana for sixteen years as a graphic designer, illustrator, and creative director. She’s won local, regional, and national visual communication awards for her graphic design work. Lyn has taught at the collegiate level, conducted arts workshops, participated in the Governor’s Arts Awards in 2009, and is on the board of directors at Arts Place in Portland, Indiana. Lyn was awarded two Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist Grants: one in 2006, and one in 2010.

Since 1998, Lyn’s work has been displayed her work in art shows and galleries, and she has work in numerous public and private collections. Lyn actively participates in juried exhibitions and gallery shows. She resides in Hartford City with her husband and two children.
