This qualification covers a broad range of subjects and will lead to employment in the industry or further study at Level 3.

You will be assessed through practical tests and paper-based exams, followed by an online test to complete the course.

This course is for anyone working for an engineering company who would like to acquire an industry standard qualification in recognition of their status, or those who would like to progress within the industry. Mature students (Electricians or Electronic/ Computer Servicing Engineers) with a good craft qualification can use this qualification to progress to HNC and HND courses by improving their mathematics and electrical/electronic principles.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS You will need GCSEs Maths at grade 4 or above and English at grade 3 or above. GCSE Science at grade 3 or above is preferred, but not essential. Alternatively, a Level 2 Diploma in Engineering, with minimum grade 4 in Maths. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for engineering at your interview.
