A RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS OF HAYWOOD COUNTY, TENNESSEE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2010 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2011 WHEREAS,
Section 5-9-109, Tennessee Code Annotated, authorizes the County Legislative Body to make appropriations to non-profit organizations; and,
The Haywood County Legislative Body recognizes the various non-profit organizations providing services in Haywood County have great need of funds to carry on their work; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Haywood County Legislative Body on this 23rd day of August 2010. Section 1: That two hundred sixty three thousand, nine hundred and seventy six dollars (263,976.00) is appropriated to the organizations listed below.

Haywood County Highway Department 1306 S. Dupree Brownsville, Tennessee 38012 Greg McCarley, Supervisor Haywood County Highway Department will hold two public hearings on Monday August 23, 2010 and Monday September 13, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. These meetings will consider the following proposal:
1. That the non-profit organization to which funds are appropriated shall file with the County Clerk and the disbursing official a copy of an annual report of its business affairs and transactions and the proposed use of the county’s funds in accordance with rules promulgated by the Comptroller of the Treasury, Chapter 0380-2-7. Such annual report shall be prepared and certified by the chief financial officer of such non-profit organization in accordance with Section 5-9-109 (c), Tennessee Code Annotated. 2. That said funds must only be used by the named non-profit organization in furtherance of its non-profit purposes benefiting the general welfare of the residents of the county. 3. That it is the expressed interest of the County Commission of Haywood County in providing funds to the above named non-profit organizations to be fully in compliance with Chapter 0390-2-7 of the rules of the Comptroller of the Treasury and Section 5-9-109. Tennessee Code Annotated and any and all other laws which may apply to county appropriations to non-profit organizations and so this appropriation if made subject to compliance with all of these laws and regulations. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
1. The removal of approximately 2500 feet of Albright Road from the Haywood County Road System. 2. To consider a name change for the south leg of Albright Road.
