HHS students cheer on the Tomcats
West Tennessee Business College Dean’s List
The following students maintained a 95 or above average for the past enrollment period ending July 1, 2010 at West Tennessee Business College: Aknia Clark, Crystal Dancy, Jenna Elrod, Tabitha Grandberry, Emily Herron, Tara Jarrett, Ebony Horton, Janice Peet, Sarah Russell, Bridgett Shirley, Lawanda Tyus, and Tahtia Woods.
UT Martin names local students to summer session Dean’s List
The Haywood High School Tomcats couldn’t possibly lose Friday night after the spectacular send-off HHS students gave them at the first pep rally of the year. It was a contest of spirit and volume, and as is tradition, the Seniors won the Spirit Stick excelling in both categories. The Tomcats handed Jackson Central-Merry a loss in the first game of the season.
HJH welcomes students for the new school year
Haywood Junior High School administrators, faculty and staff prepared for school to begin last week. Students came ready to learn with their backpacks and school supplies.
The outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin have been honored with publication of the Summer 2010 Dean’s Lists for the College ofAgriculture and Applied Sciences, College of Business and Global Affairs, College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. To be eligible for dean’s list recognition at UT Martin, a student must take at least 12 hours of credit (pass-fail courses are not included) and achieve a 3.2 (B) grade point average based on a 4.0 scale. Students can make the dean’s list with honors (3.2 through 3.49), high honors (3.5 through 3.79) or highest honors (3.8 through 4.0). Anderson welcomes students to the new school year
According to Anderson Early Childhood Center Assistant Principal Cindy Smith, “Anderson is off to a great start! We have 463 cute Anderson Cubs ready to learn! Mr. Jim is ready to learn, too! GO, CUBS!” Molly Nichols, a kindergarten student in Mrs. Becky Stokely’s room, made a great poster showing how she feels about going to school at Anderson! “We love you too, Molly!”
