EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Site Coordinator-Cavalier Teen Center This position will be employed by PCMI West, but will work in the Carrollton Middle School, Cavalier Teen Center. This afterschool program is grant funded, and is a chartered club with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region. Hours: Monday – Friday 12:30-6:30pm Compensation: $11.00 per hour Duration: Regular School Year Program JOB TITLE: Site Coordinator REPORTS TO: Teen Center Project Director POSITION OVERVIEW Site Coordinator provides key support to parents of the students that attend the Cavalier Teen Center. The coordinator will provide a high level of engagement and impact to the students while they are in our care. Additionally, the coordinator will handle student discipline and aid in the supervision of the staff instructors of the afterschool program. Site Coordinator must be dependable, and able to work all specified hours. Occasional time off can be negotiated with the Project Director.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Communication  Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with Teen Center staff instructors.  Be directly supervised by the Program Director and receive general supervision from the Middle School Principal.  Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents of students.  Provide program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain monthly contact with families, students, staff instructors, and school personnel.  Assist with parent workshops, services, and special community events.  Respond promptly and courteously to parent concerns and/or complaints. Immediately notify Program Director of parent concerns and/or complaints.  Communicate with parents regarding student progress and performance.  Maintain clean, safe, and student-centered environment  Handle day to day discipline of students. Development and Implementation  Manage day-to-day operations of the afterschool program.  Facilitate regular staff instructor meetings.  Coach and supervise staff instructors.  Assure safety and regulation of students at all times.  Maintain high visibility at the site of the Cavalier Teen Center program.

Assure classrooms and other shared school space is well maintained and left as found. Assure accurate distribution and accounting of snacks and program supplies. Engage all students in learning activities.

Comply with all Program Director’s & District guidelines  Oversee program management, such as: attendance, grades, registration, snacks, custodial, classroom, security, safety, field trip transportation.  Identify, train, and supervise staff instructors, volunteers, parent liaisons, and community partners to implement academic, recreation, and enrichment activities.  Recruit and enroll program participants. Qualifications  Experience with middle school age children/after school program  Minimum of 2 years college, AA degree, or CDA; BA preferred.  Experience supervising staff and programs.  Experience working in a school, child care center, and/or agency setting.  Ability to work effectively with and support diverse staff, parents, and community members.  Able to implement and supervise a positive learning environment, incorporating academics, enrichment, and recreation.  Be highly organized with an ability to multitask.  Commitment to mission and vision of Carrollton Public Schools.  High level of computer technology competency (Including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, and the Internet).  Must satisfactorily pass: a. Law enforcement background check (fingerprints) b. Personal and business references check, P.A. 189 st  CPR/1 Aid Certified – Preferred. CLOSING DATE:
