The Tradition Continues

Livingston Manors Snowy Tradition by Marlee Madison / Manor Ink

The Ice Carnival has been a tradition in Livingston Manor for 59 years, but the carnival is more than just a Sunday afternoon where you can ride in a horse drawn sleigh or watch professional figure skaters. Although these things are really cool (no pun intended), the entire weekend is filled with snowy fun. On Friday the 19th, the LMCS Interact Club held the Ice Carnival semi-formal dance. The music-filled night started at

6:45 and lasted until 9:45. High schoolers who attended the dance were able to vote for an ice carnival king and queen. Students could pick from queen nominees: Faith Valentine, Julie Edwards, and Renee Prendergast; and the king nominee: Tommy Mills. The results… Faith and Tommy took the crowns.
