REACHING MORE SURVIVORS VIRTUALLY DURING THE PANDEMIC

A breast cancer diagnosis presents overwhelming challenges and unknowns, but we do meet with blessings along the way to support us. One of greatest blessings for me has been a “free ticket” to the Pink House, regardless of age, gender, race, cultural background or economic status.

THE MASCIA FAMILY

IN HONOR OF GIGI

The Mascia Family have been supporters of the Pink House for numerous years – generously donating, contributing to our events, honoring loved ones with memory bricks, and volunteering their time. They have watched several very close friends and family members fight against breast cancer. Many are now Survivors, but others lost the fight. The Mascia Family’s most recent donation came in honor of their dear friend Gigi, who passed away

“She was a true fighter, a 3 time cancer Survivor. Maybe it was because of what she survived that her outlook on life was always bright, and lucky for us, her positive glow haloed many of our lives. Our family will always remember and cherish our memories with her.“ on Friday, October 9th. They said,

Their contribution in memory of Gigi will help the many women battling breast cancer find the help and comfort they need to keep fighting strong.

SURVIVOR SERVING SURVIVORS

Connie Lewis Mrs. Connie Lewis has been an amazing volunteer since she was diagnosed 3 years ago. From the first day she came to visit CBF, she immediately felt at home.

She attended all programs, became

friends with many other survivors and was always ready to volunteer

- from filling inspiration jars, comfort

bags, answering phones to organizing the wigs, bras and storage closet. Connie has become a consistent helping hand (and heart) even during a Pandemic! "Ms. Connie" is passionate and dedicated about what she does here for CBF and we couldn't be more grateful! As if her time wasn't enough, she rallied friends and family, raising $1,000 during the month of October, to help those walking through our doors.
