CHRISTMAS

In order to promote Christmas spirit amongst the children we learnt some traditional English Christmas songs and sang along to the guitar. We sang “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” and then afterwards played some more modern songs and the children clapped along.

Presentations were put up throughout the school teaching the children vocabulary regarding the religious aspect of Christmas, for example “The Baby Jesus”, “Guiding Star” and “The Three Wise Men”. Above you can see a display demonstrating the scene of Joseph, Mary and Jesus at the stable as told in the Bible. The images are labeled in English and are along the main corridor in the school for all the children to see.

In the display above is written in English “Merry Christmas” for all the children to see when they enter the school. To the left is a picture of a big Father Christmas over Grade 3C´s door. There has been no lack of effort in promoting the Christmas spirit throughout the school this year.

Reflexion week posters have been put up wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The children watched the film ‘The Snowman’ and did worksheets and activities related to the book.

Here you can see the Christmas tree the children and teachers of Gloria Fuertes made with their handprints on green paper.

These three photographs we received for the second grade students from Wick Primary school, England, celebrating Christmas.
