E D 3 A P O E T ’ S R E S I D E N C E INSTRUCTOR: KURT ESPERSON-PETERS STUDIO: EVIE 3010 ID STUDIO 3.2 Through this project we learned, met, and explored a space for the city’s Poet Laureate. The goal of this project was to transform 1520 Corydon Ave into both a public and private dwelling for the Poet Laureate, while still accesible to the city.

Considering a cafe or a library, ultimately going with a cafe was to invite the atmosphere of discussion and gathering, while still having the ability for privacy to read and write if desired.

INSTRUCTOR: NICOLETTE LAYNE AND TIJEN ROSHKO STUDIO: EVIE 4010 ID STUDIO 4.1 Warp and Weft aims to be a diverse space for clients and members who are seeking for a space that they can create a solid foundation in and start aiming for their future. A space that one can expand on, create connections, and showcase work. Our coworking space is catered towards makers, artists, and small businesses, while weaving in the collaboration of users in marketing, event planning, and gallery reps looking for new talent.

Warp and Weft differs from other coworking spaces as it is a place to hone creativity, network, be showcased to visitors, and sell to shoppers.

Taking past methods of animation to create a unified space for both digital and hand crafted scenes. This space welcomes all who desire to explore creative collaborative work while searching much deeper within unwillingly being evoked by revealed visual stories.

306-310 Ross Avenue, located in the Exchange District and downtown Winnipeg, holds rich connections to the completion of Canada’s first transcontinential railway. The building being a part of the growing warehouse sector in the city is mainly known for housing a clothing manufacturer company, Leadlay Manufacturing.
