Knowing that losing their port could cause heavy affliction to their economy. Rotterdam is accepting innovative approaches to Sea Level Rise. Studio Marco Vermeulen have conducted approaches to sustain the livelihood of their port and their economy. These approaches not only address Sea Level Rise concerns but create an innovative way to live within the river. This network of systems implements boat stations all along the Maas River.

The fourth perspective proposes water squares set along the sewerage system in Rotterdam. Instead of further expanding the costly underwater infrastructure, these squares would retain the rainwater discharge. The retention, storage, and discharge of rainwater becomes visible and interactive within public space.
