Special stay for young retirees Make the very most of your vacation ! We’re here to bring you a dynamic programme, which will allow you to explore and improve your physical and mental potential. Through activities such as hiking, you’ll tease and test your limits in a playful way. You’ll also need to face some challenges; so you can gather the group together and make it stronger. This is a great opportunity to test your limits and be aware of your energy.


DAY 1: Hotel check-in and time to settle into your room. Evening meal and overnight in hotel.

DAY 2: Morning: Visit of Mont-Louis, a fortress town designed by Vauban, is also the highest fortified town in France and was recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. After passing through the fortifications, we visit the Puits des Forçats, which supplied the garrison with fresh water thanks to its huge wheel mechanism. Then we’ll make an excursion to the world’s first solar furnace, where we can find the latest experiments of NASA. We’ll present to you both a demonstration and an exposition. Afternoon: Orienteering course on the plateau de la Calme, which is over 2000 meters high. It is also a symbolic site, where the French Orienteering Course Championships took place in the year of 2000. All along the course you’ll be asked many different questions about the region, in order to discover a bit more about its fauna, flora and history. You’ll walk along the plateau of Cerdagne and be amazed by the 360° view over the Carlit, the highest point of the region. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: Easy level. You will be taken off the beaten tracks and among the lakes of Carlit’s massif. You’ll relax all along this journey while discovering the magnificent historical site of Bouillouses, in the heart of the Regional Parc of the Pays Catalan. The scenery will change as you walk along, though preserving the harmony of a pure and preserved nature, which combines clear water and green mountains. You may have the chance to see some wild animals, such as the roebuck, the deer… or even a marmot! Breakfast, dinner and overnight at the hotel. Packed lunch.

DAY 4: Free morning. In the beginning of the afternoon, you’ll walk around Planés, a small village with an astonishing church. You’ll cross this forestry path through old paved streets, between forests and piedmonts, on the hillside. You’ll discover the valley of Têt while you go down the railway of the famous “little yellow train” and its open air wagons. By the end of this journey, you’ll be able to relax in the naturally heated baths of Saint-Thomas. These waters are rich in trace elements and fluorine, and are renowned by its medical virtues, especially for the skin. Massages and beauty care treatments are possible, under reservation and payment of a supplement. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the hotel.


DAY 5: Morning: Visit the Cerdagne and taste the best charcuteries (cooked pork meats) of the region. Afternoon: You’ll leave “Les Estanyols”, in the heart of the Pla de Barres forest, and enjoy a day full of challenges and mountain bike orientation. In the morning, you’ll explore the area and discover the many different possible paths. In the afternoon, you’ll leave, with your team, and together you’ll try to find the best itinerary, with the help of a map and a compass. While you roll along, you’ll discover a wild and preserved nature. This journey will definitely teach you a lot about the local geology thanks to glades and wet patches. Breakfast, lunch or picnic, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
