Given was one A4 paper, it was only allowed to make 3 cuts but as many foldings as wanted . The cuts were made so, that two stripes were formed. These stripes were folded often, every second fold in the same direction. The stripes were positioned that they form curves like arches. The inspiration was by falling leaves in autumn.

The arches look like they are forming a hall and an open area around it. It could be a hall for events like musicals. So the name came from the inspiration and the look of a hall. Minimum and Maximum, that was the topic in planning for the 4. semester. What one should plan was left to oneself, so my draft was to put on top of a privat function a social function, which is overwhelming the privat function. A tower building of 21 floors, which is planned at a old co-generation power station, with privat flats was the perfekt base for the privat f u n c t i o n . 4.1 Entwerfen on top ofSS2010 it, I decided to Ebe build&aBucher studio, exhibtion and flats for prof. artists. A place which is open for everyone, a social place.

Gas Station

Gas Station A gas station is normally a place where you don‘t want to spend a long time. It was asked to pick a gas station in Munich which we don‘t like and plan a new one at the same place. I Picked a gas station in the center, which is very small and does not attract attention. So my plan was to build something which is at the same higth as the buildings surrounding it, something which attracs attention, also while driving past at the main street. Something special. As to this site also belongs a second building, seperated by the drive for the underground parking, I decided to plan two buildings which are bound together.

Materials were kept natural.

Simple turn was developed according to an old persons needs in a bathroom: sit down every now and then, have something to hold on, dont walk to long distances from one point and another, light effects so you can even see at night perfectly. The turn works through a contactor on the floor, and through its underconstruction with all the electric constellations, the other side of the bathroom is just one simple turn away.

ROVIO, Angry Birds, China

Concept

A. Vision Statement To be “Always on your mind” by increasing the number and depth of Rovio’s educational offerings and to build a store environment that creates a unique customer experience making the Angry Birds Playground a “go-to” destination. B. Goals and Objectives To open 100 Angry Bird stores in China over 3 years. To transition Angry Bird fans from online to offline consumption in year 2. To maintain offline purchases while encouraging Angry Bird fans to utilize e-commerce in year 3 and after. To engage all franchisees and ensure to ensure that they are fully invested in the Entertation Store concept To become the leader in “fun learning” in China in 3 years.

development of a strategy plan to open 100 retail stores within 3 years

C. Keys to Success Create Franchising Systems that will ensure that all Goal and Objectives are met. Drive customer traffic in the malls. Develop comprehensive line of differentiated education tools for all ages. Create an interactive store environment that draws customers. Develop an efficient distribution system in China.

I. Offering: In addition to the current app, animation, apparel and toy lines at AB Shops, Rovio will add the AB line of Entertation: Entrainment + Education. These offerings consist of Educational products, In-store Entertainment, and Snacks and Beverages. Education: The offerings will be segmented by age, subject, and type of goods. The Entertation line will classify age by Toddlers (2-6), Elementary Students (7-12), High School Students (13-18), and Adults & Seniors. It will, depending on age, offer different subjects including: - Basics (colors, numbers, writing characters) for Toddlers, - English Language - Math - Science - Chinese Language - Brain Trainers Within these age and subject categories there will be 2 general categories of offerings: Physical Educational Merchandise (Games & Books), and Educational Apps/Animation/eBooks.

© copyright all content belongs to Rovio

In-store Entertainment: The cornerstone of the fun store environment will be “arcade games”. These will be a signature line of interactive games that can be played on either Samsung Smart TV or an iPad only in the store. Game cards can be purchased and topped up at the sales counter. This will allow the customer to play without worrying about proper change. This will drive store traffic as families and young adult groups come to play. In-store entertainment creates another revenue stream for Rovio and the Franchisee. Snacks and Beverages: In an effort to keep customers in the store and playing games longer, AB Stores will offer a limited line of Snacks and Beverages. The aim of this line is to appeal to both children and parents. Snacks and Beverages will also generate another revenue stream for Rovio and the Franchisee. The Snack and Drink Line will include: - Beverages: Bottled and canned soft drinks (existing flavors) - Snacks: Lollipops, Chewing gum, other candies

II. Timeline: The “Always on your mind” initiative will create a comprehensive line of educational tools over the three-year initial development period. Year 1 begins by bringing Rovio’s current global education offerings to China through a direct translation program. Also during Year 1, the company will begin developing its curriculum to target toddlers, elementary students, and High school students. These will be rolled out in year 2. Also, in year 2, the company will begin developing its brain trainers for seniors. These will be launched in year 3.

product Range High and low level examples of maths and english of fun learning

Marketing Strategy Location: Rovio should first choose the proper location for the store. At that point, the company should begin looking for a franchisee to purchase it. AB Entertation Stores will be located in Malls within Cities that meet the following criteria:

Cities Criteria: Market cities were chosen in China based on their Size, Growth Rate, and Per capita Income. The top 20 cities are listed as follows: Year 1: Shanghai, Beijing Year 2: Tianjin, Nanjing, Ningbo, Suzhou Year 3: Shenzhen, Guanzhou, Wuhan, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Jinan, Fuzhou, Qingdao, Changsha, Dalian, Chengdu, Shenyan, Xi’an, Wuxi

fun learning toys & apparel

In Mall Location Criteria: - 10 Malls with the highest traffic in large cities; 5 Malls with the highest traffic in small cities - Not near competition

- Near a large traffic generator within the mall (i.e. food court, cinema, etc.) - On the ground floor or on the same floor as a traffic generator (baring price in mind) - Other considerations: - Ease of delivery of merchandise - Ease of finding - Metro and parking access

Store Launch Marketing (Suggested): When launching a new store, Rovio will support the franchisee with a “Guerilla” marketing campaign. This will consist of a twoweek program including social media/ media marketing and word of mouth campaign. The word of mouth campaign will be launched by offering free gaming in the shops, as well as, costumed promoters in and around the mall distributing flyers and performing shows to draw attention to new store. After the first

two weeks, three “Guerilla” Weekends will again remind consumers of the new store by running an abbreviated version of the original campaign. The approximate cost of this Promotion campaign is 20,600 RMB to Rovio.

Sustained Marketing Plans (Suggested): Chinese consumers are particularly price sensitive. Discount prices and “buy one get one free”

sales are particularly well received. There are other promotions that can be done within the store some examples are listed below: - Adding store locator to AB apps - Free “Y” RMB play certificates with the purchase of juice - Free Juice certificates with the purchase of “X” RMB of play credit - Receive discount voucher when customer picks up on online purchase at an AB store - Frequent player discounts

MY Blog: CTRX - Capture The Rare Excitements About me: I’m a 23-year old German girl from Bavaria, the beautiful part of Germany where the best beer, Lederhosn and the famous Oktoberfest comes from. Yes, as you can see already, I am very proud of my culture and the beautiful landscape we have. That’s maybe one of the reasons I like to explore different cultures so much and see how they live, what they love and what they do. From an early age on, I had a passion for traveling, since I was

very lucky that my parents took me on a lot of holidays. But this passion even increased when I was living abroad in the UK and especially in China. There are so many beautiful and interesting places to see, which I can just not hold back from you. This blog is aimed to share my passion for traveling, art and design through photography and other medias. With the vision to inspire and take you on a virtual trip to different parts of the world with me.
