Practical advice for business

Import Costing Worksheets A costing sheet is your guide to estimate how much it will cost you to procure, transport, receive and finance your international transaction. When negotiating an international sales contract, importers should pay as much attention to the price of the product as to the terms of sale.  The pricing (cost) of a product very much depends on the sales terms agreed. Below is a summary of general import terms to help you determine what Incoterm (Delivery Term) will best suit to your particular needs and identify all costs, risks and responsibilities involved when importing your goods. Each costing stage identifies the different delivery terms which will affect your responsibilities and risks in the transaction. At each stage of pricing, your costs and quoted price to your buyer will increase. For “multi-modal” transport as containers and roll on-roll off cargoes as well as, for any mode of transport other than maritime and inland waterway i.e. By Air, Rail, etc., you should use the "any mode of transport" delivery terms. Note: If you want to download all costing sheets into one excel file, rather than open and select them individually from the list below, click here and save all costing sheets into a new excel workbook to your computer.   l
