10 years of the Regional Print Centre The Regional Print Centre is a joint project funded by Yale College, Wrexham and the Arts Council of Wales.

2001

After the success of the original Wrexham Print International exhibition at the Memorial Gallery, Yale College and Wrexham Arts Centre (now Oriel Wrecsam), Yale College Art Lecturers Anna Adair and Luci Melegari saw the potential of utilising the College’s print studio as an open access facility for artists in the North Wales area.

2006 Aspects of Landscape, a hospital touring exhibition in partnership with Denbighshire Arts Service is show at various venues in North Wales.

The Regional Print Centre takes part in PrintFest, the UK’s only artist led printmaking festival in Ulverston, Cumbria.

The Print Symposium: The shifting of traditional boundaries. A one day symposium debating developments and techniques within traditional and contemporary printmaking.

The Regional Print Centre was founded with support from Yale College, Wrexham and the Arts Council of Wales - a strong partnership that still continues to sustain the project.

There is a change at the Centre when Jim Creed is appointed as the new Regional Print Centre Co-ordinator alongside Print Tutor Greg Fuller after Steffan Jones-Hughes took up a position at the Arts Council England.

Le Chéile Project, A Welsh-Irish collaboration begins involving artists from the Regional Print Centre, Wales and the Leinster Printmaking Studio, Ireland.

Paul Peter Piech: Work from the Archive, a touring exhibition curated by the Regional Print Centre is shown at various venues including Aberystwyth Arts Centre, exhibiting work from the Yale College collection.
