Swap Advert Design Info Audience: The swap advert has a general audience because it will be seen of people of varying age and gender so it must appeal to everyone. It is important to keep the general audience in mind because if the swap advert is too specific to one age or gender, then it limits the number of people it can convince to swap. Purpose: The swap adverts’ purpose is to convince people to swap from non fair trade products to fair trade products and inform them of the benefits. The purpose is Important Suitable for audience: To ensure that my work is suitable for the audience I will have a variety of products to swap to display and I will keep the language simple so anyone can understand it because it is a general audience.

Suitable for purpose: To ensure that my work is suitable for the Purpose I will keep it direct to the purpose and include plenty of useful information and reasons to swap.

Design Decisions I will do the following things to ensure that my swap advert is suitable for audience and purpose and also stay consistent with the rest of the project. •

The style will be a comic book style story featuring DR swap and his Swapamatic device. This will provide a story like feeling to the advert that hopefully the viewers will find entertaining.

The Colour scheme will be blue white and black to keep it consistent with the rest of the project, this will make it fit in and work well with the rest of my products adding to the overall effect and professional look of all of the products.

The Content will be information on the benefits to the farmers of using fair trade and information on where the fair trade products can be bought and where they are sourced from. Since this will not only motivate people to swap but will also make it easier for them to.

The Language will be simple so that anyone can understand the swap adverts message because it has a general audience.

Some of Images/Graphics will be made by me such as DR swap and the Swapamatic but the pictures of real life products will be taken from stock photo websites. This is because I want to create some very specific

The majority of the text will be size 16, Font “Bell Gothic Std Black” and all of the text will be black or white to ensure it is easy to read.

The content will be a mixture of video clips, messages and still images to give information to the watcher with the messages while keeping their attention with the clips and I will use still images to display several things on screen at once. How I will keep it appropriate to the target audience: I will keep it appropriate by using a standard easy to read font and not too simple language so they are not patronised. Another way of keeping the work specific to the target audience is including mountain biking clips and prizes this relates to the target audiences interests. How I will keep it appropriate to the purpose: I will keep it appropriate by advertising the prizes that can be won and the trails that the participants will be riding to try to convince people to come and also it will include information on where and when it is so people can go to the event and how fair trade helps third world countries.
