The Day Audio for dpoem
It’s that day to win the crown. For family and town. Today's the day. The wind picked up, and the waves are rough. I wake up, and I know it's that time. The summer barrels come into mind. The weathers hot, but just right. For surfing, all day and night. The smell of salt filled my nose. And the feeling I get makes chills go all the way down to my toes. The waves are breaking perfectly and glistening on the blue sea. This is the best day of the summer, for me. I hear the horn which startles me, from this daydream Todays the day where I will cream. I grab my board and prance with a big grin on my face Knowing today is the day to get 1st place
The competitors are already out there splashing and trying to get by the brake, But I stare calm on the sand and try to figure out a way to make getting out there a piece of cake. I see the way; there is a small riptide to the right. I go in and paddle out in a jiffy and the opponent knows I'm bright. I see the first swell come in. And to my face came a grin. I ride it in and it’s the one. And now I can be done. They judged that wave a perfect 10. My bones started to shiver of happiness and I thanked everybody, Amen.

I've gotten a little taller this year, From midget to small. I think this might be the time I could dunk, And be “cool. I go back and get a good running start, I keep going, going, going. I get up there and I think I can fly. And I go Up, Up, Up, It feels like forever. I keep going Up, Up, Up And away Till I miss the rim by miles, And I now I don't feel like a star. Now my self-esteem is going, Down. Down; Down
