Entrust is a totally new concept in delivering support to Academies and schools across the UK. Our business is focussed on providing support services delivered by educational professionals, freeing up your time to focus on the priorities. From a single source we offer access a whole range of skills and services – everything from school improvement services to learning technologies and outdoor education, early year’s services to property services and grounds maintenance. All from one highly experienced provider. Our four well resourced outdoor education centres have excellent facilities and fantastic activities for all age groups. All our centres have outstanding staff that are highly experienced, qualified and enthusiastic, providing a truly memorable learning experience. We provide a wide range of courses and learning experiences designed to suit a variety of needs. These include multiactivity Discovery & Adventure Courses, Adventure Development Days, GCSE Courses, Exam Booster Weekends, Family Learning Courses, Skills and Awards Courses and Language and Cultural Stays. We are also able to provide advice, guidance, training and support to schools on all aspects of learning outside of the classroom.

Education Services School Improvement Services Service Description Our school improvement services can support every area from leadership and management, outstanding pedagogy and curriculum development to specialist SEN and early years support. What differentiates Entrust’s services is that they are all tailored to an individual educational setting by education experts. Our leadership and management offer is led by associate consultants who have held several successful headships in good and outstanding schools. They are credible professionals and have strong track records of improvement as well as working with others in the capacity of School Improvement Partner, National Leader of Education, or Local leader of Education. We also deploy specialist consultants with skills such as Ofsted accreditation and governing body improvement. Our leadership and management programmes include support for headteacher recruitment, new headteacher induction and development, and headteacher performance management. At middle leader level we offer a unique ‘middle leader improvement partner’ programme as well as training and coaching for capacity building. Entrust has a team of curriculum specialists, representing every national curriculum subject and theme. Our

consultants strive to be the ‘best in their fields’ and work with teachers and leaders to pass on this expertise through team teaching, outstanding professional development through training and coaching, and by supporting subject knowledge through online media. Education Services School Improvement Services (Govenors) Service Description

Benefits of our Services

Entrust Governors School Improvement Services provides information and advice for Governors meetings and activities. These include a recommended agenda and related information pack for each term and briefings on the content for Chairs and Vice-Chairs of Governors. Other advice and guidance is available to governors as part of this service via a telephone and email helpline and website.

We also provide support for your Clerk by providing a Clerk’s Support Package for academies or schools that employ their own clerks. The Information Service is included as part of this option. It includes access to a range of guidance, support and CPD opportunities for your Clerk. If required we are able to provide Clerking Agency which supplies a professional clerk service carried out by qualified clerks. The service will be tailored to meet your requirements, offering clerking for the full range of meetings. Academies or Schools opting for this service also enjoy the benefits of our Information Service. In addition, we are also able to provide Governor Training and Development offered through a suite of training courses. As well as providing CPD for Chair of Governors and Vice-Chair Governors as part of our Information Service.

Education Services Early Years Services Service Description The team of Early Years Consultants are highly skilled professionals with a wide range of expertise in all aspects of Early Years Foundation Stage education, business planning, marketing and sustainability for early years settings. Through consultancy and training this dynamic team of professionals use a wide range of techniques including observations, coaching, interactive and creative tailored support to empower, encourage and develop childcare in both the maintained and private sector. Our bespoke training and consultancy enables you to target and support specific areas tailored to your individual needs.

Education Services Special Needs & Inclusion Service Service Description This service is a team of highly specialised and experienced staff who provide support in all schools and early years settings to ensure high quality SEN and Inclusion support. This includes learning/ behaviour assessment and casework with individuals plus an extensive menu of training and bespoke packages for schools. Specialist Dyslexia advice is also available via county dyslexia centres and the Dyslexia Friendly process which has national status and is recognised by the British Dyslexia Institute. Legal advice regarding the Exclusion Process and Alternative Education Pathways for young people is also provided via training and collaborative working with schools. SENIS has an experienced team of staff that will provide advice, guidance and support to schools for newly arrived young people via training and exhibitions around equality and diversity. Linguistic and Cultural Mediators provide support which includes 12 languages. We can provide specialist advice and training for schools such as:-Sexual relationships education, alcohol misuse, substance misuse and bullying via imaginative and quality training and workshops. The service has a responsibility for those young people whose families elect to Home Educate and works closely with these families who choose to access the support.

All our staff are able to support schools regarding OFSTED requirements and have a proven record of excellence in this area.

Benefits of our Services The key benefits of our Special Needs & Inclusive Services are: • SENSIS is a one stop shop for all SEN and Inclusion services from Learning Support to advice regarding newly arrived young people • The team are highly specialised teachers and non teachers ranging from expertise in Dyslexia/Dyscalculia to 12 languages (translators) from the Minority Ethnic Achievement Service. • As well as a range of training opportunities. SENSIS provide bespoke packages of support/ workshops for staff and individual young people from all areas of the service. • A specialised team of teachers can provide support/workshops/ conferences relating to all PHSE requirements. • There are for example SENCO, Pupil Premium networks which provide support for staff that is continuous and regularly up dated with new material re. legislation and relevant issues providing a forum for discussion and networking opportunities.


Education Services School Improvement Services (Science Technology Engineering Maths) Service Description

Entrust STEM has an excellent reputation for developing and delivering curriculum focussed activities over many years. Our support materials and ‘buy in’ activities complement national and regional programmes in schools and colleges. These activities are practical and aim to enhance and enrich the science, technology, engineering and maths curriculum of learners from 4 to 19 years old. We work closely with industry and other partners to keep our activities relevant and provide progression through the education stages that lead into the world of work. There is the opportunity for these activities to be tailored to the needs of particular establishments.

The key benefits of our STEM Services are: • All of our advice & delivery staff are fully qualified & experienced teachers who regularly work in schools delivering activities to pupils within 5-19 age groups. • We are education & training consultants to a number of outside organisations including SSAT (lead practitioner),RSLC Keele, Staffordshire University, Ofqual JCB, Medilink West Midlands & Telford Manufacturing Partnership as well as schools. • We are the regional managers for the British Science Associations CREST awards at all levels & can help schools launch & moderate projects • We organise and run Health & Safety training sessions accredited by the Design and Technology Association (DATA) • We help to run termly STEM subject meetings for schools • We can lead teachers CPD meetings/ workshop sessions which can be developed to meet the needs of schools and teachers, technicians & classroom assistants. • We have close links to a number of local businesses including: JCB, Cooperative Financial Services, Perkins Engines, GKN, Johnson tiles,

We also manage the STEM Ambassador programme of volunteers from industry in our area. Ambassadors support activities bringing expert knowledge from specialist areas as well as up to date career opportunity information. Each ambassador has a DBS/CRB disclosure and undergoes induction training that includes safe guarding/ child protection. We are able to provide guidance and support concerning STEM curriculum subjects, Gifted & Talented activities, extra-curricular STEM clubs and alternative curriculum days.

Education Services Music & Performing Arts Service Description Entrust Music and Performing Arts Services is a music and dance service for schools, academies and their communities. Our mission is to promote, provide and support the highest quality opportunities in music and the performing arts. We are also the lead partner of the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Music Education Partnership, working together with academies, and professional music and arts organisations to support whole academy improvement by raising pupils’ self-esteem, motivation, aspirations and achievement in and through music and the performing arts. We provide weekly music and dance teaching services to academies, and organise Performing Arts Centres and Regional Ensembles which meet during evenings and weekends. We have organised major concerts and events in venues such as Victoria Hall, Hanley, Lichfield Cathedral, Burton Town Hall, St Leonard’s Stafford and Symphony Hall, and in Birmingham.

Education Services Careers & Participation Services Service Description Entrust Careers and Participation Services provide expert, independent and impartial careers education and guidance to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential and make the right decisions about their futures. In a rapidly changing environment and competitive world, young people need to learn how to manage their careers and take charge of their learning. Providing young people with information is simply not enough. Careers guidance is not solely about matching an individual to a particular job role for life, but ensuring young people are able to recognise, develop and apply their skills. Our Careers Advisers will develop your student’s awareness of the extent and diversity of opportunities available to them in learning and work and will provide them with the guidance they need to make well informed decisions. Careers Guidance is key to smoothing the transition from statutory education into further learning and work. Personal development and socialisation can be adversely affected when young people enter temporary work or are out of work for long periods.

Education Services Work Based Learning Service Description

Benefits of our Services

Entrust Careers and Participation Services (Work Based Learning) are a leading provider for School Support Staff qualifications. We able to offer a wide range of School Support Staff accredited or bespoke training ranging from a choice of over 300 Qualification Credit Framework units, Awards, Certificates and Diplomas and Higher Level Teaching Assistant status.

The key benefits of our Work Based Learning Services are:

We provide an advice and guidance service supporting schools to identify appropriate workforce development for all support staff and plan an appropriate delivery model. The Work Based Learning team’s trainers and assessors are all experienced qualified adult tutors and NVQ assessors who have worked in a range of sectors and organisations including schools. The team provide Information Advice and Guidance to employers, parents, young people and anyone who is starting out on a career pathway or looking to progress with their careers. We manage and deliver the County Council, Entrust and School Apprenticeship schemes; training over 450 apprentices in the past four years. 93% of our apprentices have achieved and either gained permanent employment or progressed to a higher apprenticeship or Higher Education.

• We offer a consultancy service to design bespoke training packages that meet the needs of schools and individuals • We provide schools and employees with value for money high quality training. The Work Based Learning team have over 15 years’ experience of delivering support staff training and apprenticeships. • We are an Ofsted inspected training provider; in our last inspection in November 2012 we were graded as ‘Good with Outstanding Features’ • We offer a wide range of apprenticeships and other qualifications for all school support staff roles. • We have high retention and achievement rates for all candidates • We can offer functional skills in Maths, English and ICT for any teaching assistants who are progressing to HLTA. Education Services School Finance Service Description The Entrust School Finance Services is able to support schools and academies with either their greater accountability to the DfE or reduced operating budgets. Consequently this puts pressure on particular school finance activities such as externally audited, accounts, VAT returns, cashflow management and internal financial reporting. We are able to provide much more than cost effective, but equally as qualified and professional solution, which complements your existing staff. We can support by offering many different accounting systems or you can take advantage of a managed service option which hosts your financial data for you. You will receive the professional support you need from qualified staff who have been working with schools for many years. Our typical standard service includes 11 full day visits from a dedicated support officer and 6 full day visits from a qualified accountant. It is also flexible and can be tailored to fit your needs, including that of a group of academies who could benefit from efficiency savings.

Education Services Schools Human Resources Service Description The Entrust Schools Human Resources Service provides a high quality professional, cost effective service for advice, guidance and support on HR strategy, employment law implications, casework (e.g. discipline; grievance; absence management; staffing reviews) and policy development to head teachers and governing bodies. Changes to national or local pay and conditions of employment for teachers and for support staff, as well as the employee/employer relationship in academies and the complex interface with trade unions and professional associations all impact significantly on employee relations. This increases the need for professional HR advice and guidance on formal procedures and trade union engagement to ensure that decision making is sound. For those academies subscribing to the HR Service, could benefit from a range of strategic services available to your school or academy leadership team and governing body.

Learning Technology Services ICT Curriculum Services Service Description Learning Technologies provides a range of support services for Academies’ Curriculum Systems covering support for your own technical staff in managing your network, regular onsite technical help or a fully managed service. Take out a managed service contract and it is our responsibility to ensure your system is reliable, available and fully functional to help you achieve the best teaching and learning outcomes. We can support any Windows based network with our Microsoft accredited engineers but also specialise in RM systems and Apple technologies. Property Services Building Management Services Service Description The Entrust Building Management Team provides a high quality and efficient service for energy procurement and account management. The team also offers energy and water management service through its comprehensive Energy Consultancy Contract (ECC) and works with schools’ and academy’s to ensure that their energy and water usage is kept to a minimum by carefully monitoring of consumption and to prevent unnecessary spent costs. The team provides first class technical advice and support for all energy and water related matters. Academies are also supported with their ever increasing statutory obligations such as the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. In partnership with Local Procurement and Legal Services, we regularly tender electricity and gas contracts. These contracts not only ensure competitive pricing but also enable billing validation using specialist software. Checks are carried out on meter readings, unit rates, standing charges, VAT, Climate Change Levy, etc. Any anomalies are taken up with the suppliers. The billing data is also analysed to ensure that each individual site is paying the best available contract rates. Schools’ and Academies are provided with reports via a dedicated website

which gives access to their utility billing and usage information. The data is presented statistically and graphically meaning academies are able to compare yearly, monthly and, even daily energy usage patterns where Smart Meters are fitted. The information can be used to model improvements in performance as well as providing environmental educational material for pupils.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations require employers to appoint competent persons to assist in the compliance of health and safety legal requirements. It is therefore, essential that all academies/schools allocate sufficient resources to ensure health and safety is effectively managed. To ensure health, safety and wellbeing for their staff and pupils; to comply with legal requirements; as well as to minimise the risk of accidents to staff, pupils and others (including contractors and organisations hired on the school premises). We have significant experience in assisting schools’ and academies to convert and then working closely with them to optimise the processes and efficiency improvements provided by our services. We have increased the accuracy of Academy payrolls to 99.94% and halved the time it takes for new staff to receive a Statement of Particulars/Contract of Employment from us. We have also helped Academies to reduce the cost of vacancy advertising and agreed with WM Jobs that Academies can advertise on their web site at no extra cost. How to find us The Entrust Support Services head office is based in Stafford at the Kingston Centre, which is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute taxi from Stafford train station. Stafford train station is a mainline service with Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham all within less than a 1 hour journey time via train or car. If you are interested in any of our services we would be able to come to visit you, however, if you would like to visit us you should be able to find us with the below directions. From Stafford town, follow the signs for Uttoxeter A518, you will pass an petrol station on your right, turn right at the traffic lights and then turn left after approximately 150 yards into Fairway. Follow the road for approximately 400 yards. The entrance to the Kingston Centre is on your left, after the last house. From A34 Lichfield road, follow the A34 towards Stafford town centre. Turn left at the traffic lights for B&Q and follow the directions for the A518 Uttoxeter into Riverway. Follow the road, approximately 200 yards after the road crosses the river turn right onto Fairway. Follow the road for approximately 400 yards.
